INDIANAPOLIS -- A crewmember for Dale Coyne Racing was taken to a hospital after Danica Patrick's race car struck him in the pit area during Friday afternoon's practice for the Indianapolis 500.
Charles Buckman suffered a concussion and facial cuts in the incident, which happened at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at about 2 p.m., 6Sports reported.
Patrick was driving on pit lane when she struck Buckman, who is not a member of Patrick's team and was trying to examine another car in the pit area, 6Sports reported.
