Default Could ABF be hiding profits??????

Correct me if I'm wrong to think that Abf is up to something. Take a good look at some of the UPacks that are going thru the system now.Moving as Moving Solutions, Inc.Created in Oct. 2009. We all know that the biggest profit maker for ABF is ABF Upack.

Sure they could. And they also have their own 3pl. Paid for by us. Thus showing a money loss for our division. But more and more local officials are agreeing that ABF is in no way in trouble. Even my Local president for whom I never see eye to eye with. Thinks ABF is just trying to capitalize on peoples fears due to the YRC debacle. But we the members have to get the word out. I have a memo from the IBT to the Local saying for them to be sure to tell the members of ABF's financial situation. And My Local can't see where they are hurting. All the filings(SEC, Annual report). The fact they have put extra money into their nonunion pension fund voluntarily and given promotion raises to executives. So why does the IBT want us to believe that ABF needs our hard earned money to stay afloat. Because they want to make sure they keep receiving those dues and those multiple pensions.

Compare these two sites. One for ABF and the other for Moving Solutions. The President and phone number are different but the rest is basically the same. Why is the question??

If ABF could get out of any pension liability they would probably get out of trucking completely. ABC Corp. has lots of other places for money.

The bottom line is you get to vote on it. You get one vote each, and must live with it, whatever the result.

I think you are missing the point my Brother. You seem to not mind reading. Go on Teamsters.org and read how the IBT is pleading the companies case. Lost money hard economic hard times. But yet they have paid millions in their nonunion pension funds and started new companies in the last couple of years. AND GUESS WHO PAID FOR ALL THIS! And now they want our money. But the point is the IBT is helping ABF with their propaganda. And we the members have to fight off the fear tactic that work against uniformed members. We do not have the resources as ABF and the IBT has. That is our problem.

Yes you do! It's called the information age! Again, you get a vote and if it doesn't go your way, you have to accept the results.

Whatever! Just don't be a crybaby, if, or when it doesn't. We have a process, accept it.
