I voted yes on the YRCW MOU, I would vote no if I were a ABF Teamster. But you have got to acknowledge that ABF is at a severe disadvantage right now in the LTL industry. Acknowledging this does not mean you are weak or anything, just means you have good business sense.
I am not trying to sway any voters, just get some facts out that I belive is important. How can ABF last over the long haul paying so much more? (top pay and H&W)
You are right,Teamster, that ABF is at a severe disadvantage right now but anyone that has been with ABF for awhile knows that the top management that runs this company are highly intelligent and run a very tight ship when THEY WANT TO. Ever since they walked out on the concession talks last year because they wouldn't open their books,we all have seen that this company is anything but running a tight ship.We all know very well that ABF will screw their employees in a heartbeat for that almighty dollar. They have proven that time after time again.Everyone got to realize that our head honcho now is a bookkeeper. She made it to the top in a relatively short time for a reason.
maybe you guys are now getting the big picture yrc set up the whole industry to take the working man back 10 years and the federal govt knew of this and did nothing to stop them because of the lack of drivers in this country and our leaders did nothing to stop this process! This also gave them something to do with all the illegals coming into the country so they could fill all the jobs that our kids do not want!
