Re: I will Stand by No Vote
And your time. Nothing like working 12-14 hour days and being tired all the time.....just for a loser to waste it and give ya no job security like Zollars....It's like we're just working to make sure he gets his millions this year. No secure feeling of having this job last long term or anything. Just the feeling of how they are wasting every hard earned minute ya put in with high salaries and poor decisions.
I've worked a bunch of jobs that went down. When I got to New Penn I thought I finally got a job which may take me more than five years. maybe even one I can work till I retire...then came Zollars. My dad worked the same job for 30 years. That should be America. Not constantly starting over. I'm sick of it. Thanks Loser Zollars. I made five years here barely by the time they said we're not gonna make it. But nothing is secure and it sucks felling like I'm busting my butt for no future anyways.Last edited by slavenomore; 05-12-2010 at 01:36 PM.

Re: I will Stand by No Vote
The sad part about the ones who voted NO, should something happen and the company and goes under we will be looked at by co-workers as the ones who made the company fail. Now if the company succeeds without the wage cut we the people who voted against the company will still be on the list as the ones who nearly took the company down as they tightened their belt to survive. But you can bet it will divide and possibly ruin co-workers, friendships and such thru out this whole mess.

Re: I will Stand by No Vote
I could careless who's friendship or co-workers feelings I ruin, I am doing what is best for me and my family first. I am voting NO! The one's who are truly my friends understand. Mark my words if YRC fails, ABF will be coming for our pensions, if YRC gets totally out of the pension in january, ABF will want out also. We have to understand that if concession passes we will lose our money and still have to fight to keep our pension.

Re: I will Stand by No Vote
710, I don't think that this is over yet as far as th pension. I think that they may be trying to feel out the employees with the 15% wage cut and then try to run from there if it passes. As far as the no vote thats how I voted and I always say that driving the truck i don't talk to no one or myself and as far as friends its alot cheaper when you're buying the rounds when you are your own friend. You know as well as I that if something happens with YRC and the pension fund all teamsters past and present are in trouble. And if we take the wage cut where will it ever end, I can answer that it won't as they then see us as weak and will try to take everything we have worked for.

Re: I will Stand by No Vote
Tiredseat,
I hope that the guy's in Iowa are not for this, I heard alot of bad things coming out of Iowa and Nebraska. And you are right when will it end if this passes. A TDU Organizer call me today and asked me to be a observer at the ABF concessions vote count. I talked to him for awhile and he was at the 2 man meeting and he seems to think regardless of the outcome that ABF will be after our pension next.
THE FIGHT IS HERE, IT"S UP TO US BROTHERS & SISTERS

Re: I will Stand by No Vote
Don't know about all the terminals in Iowa but I've been off work for 4 weeks due to a surgery but at our terminal it is a 100% NO. It would not surprise me if the guys in the nebraska terminal vote yes though. Like I said if this goes thru this is just the beginning of the near end. Just my thoughts and hopefully I'm wrong one more time about theend could be near.
