Was just on the Teamsters.org web site and tyson is showing the same numbers as what 710 posted here. He also stated they were trying to do what was best for us but now they will regroup and try to work something out to protect our jobs as they were just acting in the best interest of the employees. Maybe they should ask the employees first what direction to work towards and then maybe they then would have what is in the best interest of the employees. Great job guys and to Muler and the rest who posted on here with info Thank You. And to the many who voted on what their beliefs were being yes or no votes we all have spoken what we felt was right.

At YRC the regroup was how the company was going to close a division (New Penn) or close down and run around a local (Chicago). The robo calls and letters to the house (your spouse) And a revote once you have been properly informed of whats at stake. I'm not choosing sides just saying what happened to us.

No reason to doubt this email but can't vouch for it either. You ABF guys can verify it easier than I.

    Dear Fellow Employees,

We’ve been officially notified that the proposed Wage Reduction-Job Security Plan failed to receive the necessary majority of votes for its passage which I deeply regret. This means we'll be forced to pursue other less desirable and less palatable solutions that will in all likelihood be more short-termed focused than the more preferable long term. That said, we certainly don't intend to give up. However, we need everyone to step up and render unprecedented effort in performing your jobs. I remind you that a 15% improvement in productivity can deliver essentially the same benefit to the company as a 15% wage cut. Consequently, I urge you to go about your duties as the professionals you are and strive to perform every task as promptly, precisely, cooperatively, and safely as possible.

Now we need to bring our brothers together as One! The company tried to break us. The famous divide and conquer tatics they have a plan B ready so those brothers who voted YES lets get on the same page and get ready to battle. Maybe this time they can listen to us the Employess of ABF not to what YRC got from the Union of 15% off crap. Wes Kemp talk to us like Men and ask us first before you decide to screw us. And Tyson Johnson listen to us your members before you decide for my brothers and me at ABF. You cosigned with ABF.

So are they coming back for a lesser amount. Seems like on teamsters website that they are going to pursue it farther. So now is ABF going to get busier or start laying off more.

Watch out for any new language that allows the companies and the Union to negotiate wages that will preserve jobs or create new jobs at the local levels, like they did in carhaul (Art. 2, sec 8). They used this when the Carhaulers voted down the first agreement. The local unions have let the carhaul companies make concessionary pay deals on local levels throughout the country, and the Union seems to be helping their efforts in everyway. Holding meetings at the halls with a maybe vote hoping that only the yes voters show up and by starting the meeting an hour earlier and letting the driver's know about it at the last minute. Watch your back---your victory may be sweet but short lived. Sounds like the Union didn't like the way you voted. They know what is in the best interest of their members better than the members themselves know. Doesn't sound liike a democracy to me. They will fix it one way or another. They need their union dues. Our negotiators added one word ("drivers") in that article and the concessions wagons rolled in and haven't left yet.
