064 is Dayton. They are adding office space to replace a lot of long time ABF workers with cheaper help.

Has anyone heard what is going on with the biller move. Our biller was given notice in July but has not heard anything new. Is ABF still going to lay off a lot of long time employees, to replace them with new, untrained people who don't know what a "big truck" is?

Was it the girl from Cleveland that is in charge of the Relief Billers there? I would not be surprised. She was a real piece of work.

Yes there was an office COO that went through. I thought it was heard earlier than Sept.

so my question is why hasn't the billing been moved? Also someone posted previously that all positions were being filled by teamsters. Might be true but they are being hired in at $16 something an hour. Replacing people who are making $23 something an hour who have acquired 3 plus weeks + vacation a year. Do you see the cost savings now?

I am only assuming but, I think that they are putting all of the equipment and deciding where they are going to put them. It was my impression that there would be billing in Dayton, relief billing in Fart Schmitt expanded, and one or two more locations to replace the billing clerks that are in all of the terminals.

Just as a point of information to the road drivers.....Check your TP-2's carefully before departing because the hazmat paperwork may not show up on the lines that say "pro not billed". Check the column that would have the "X" and it there is indicates a hazmat shipment, as you all well know, and you'll have to contact whomever to get the shipping papers before you can move that trailer. We don't want to find ourselves in some kind of jackpot if something happens, or you get inspected by DOT. CYA is the new norm now that CVSA 2010 is in full swing.
