    Default ABF change of operations

This is not good but we suspected something like this was in the works because they have already changed the runs in ABQ. Sorry the image is so small. Click on it to see it a bit better. Came from a phone image.

Click on the picture and you should be able to click again to enlarge any picture by opening another window.

From what I see they are closing or moving road ops from 2 terminals and reducing staff in others.

All my best to the affected brothers and sisters.

When my husband started at ABF they had over 200 drivers in Albuquerque. Now at 136 and they are laying off 10! What more does this company want?

Well as I said when the company agreed to turn the trucks up to run faster we all knew that they had something up their sleeve. We shall see what becomes of this change and supposedly there will be another change to follow this one.

They had the bright idea of running Hermiston Oregon out of Salt Lake. Ever been across the Blues in the winter? If it's dry and dusty everything has to go perfectly to make it.

They have been sending the drivers all over the place. Driving longer, home less and now the layoffs.

That is going to be the problem there going find out. Everything doesn’t go like clockwork and there’ll be drivers laying down all over.

Just talked to Al and he tells me they nixed the Hermiston idea and are thinking about Pendleton now.

The drivers in Green River will be out of a job. They're closing the relay. They can try to hire on in Salt Lake but go to the bottom of the board.

Yep. They have been sending ABQ drivers straight to SLC for several months.
