Re: IBT Launches Carhaul Jobs Campaign
I would like to think you are right snortin nortin, however the American public as a whole are only concerned about themselves. The American public can only remember as far back as the present crisis and as soon as a new crisis comes along they will forget about the current one.
For the most part Americans all want cheap prices. Where was all the outrage when NAFTA was signed and jobs started leaving this country?
Where is the outrage that most everyday products are now made in a foreign, third world country? Doesn't matter that it is poor quality, doesn't last very long as long as it's cheap.
Soon too America will join the ranks as a third world country.

Re: IBT Launches Carhaul Jobs Campaign
Let me guess... when the yards were cleaned up, the Teamster Union carriers were kicked out again,
like yesterdays garbage?
Same thing happend to driveaway (piggybackers) when we were scabbed out by autotruck and their scab "union".
Call drivers back, we need you, clean up their mess, then kicked to the curb.
Still pisses me off!

Re: IBT Launches Carhaul Jobs Campaign
All that would have to happen to make it where the dealers and manufacturers would want quality, damage free drivers hauling there vehicles,, is the international would promote a drive that the dealers would have to declare all damage to a vehicle and have the customer sign off on it like the odometer statement,(federal law) dealer had all these vehicles on there lot that they couldn't sell because of fenders and bumbers being replaced,, or giving the customer back a couple of hundered to take a vehicle damaged in transport,, then quality would make it back into the transport industry,, now nobody cares because the carrier pays for the damage,,, heard waggonnnneers did away with workers comp,, having the drivers sign off on it or something,, anybody heard????

Re: IBT Launches Carhaul Jobs Campaign
I wonder which dealership Zuckerman and Hoffa passed out handbills at this week. I was at a function for a sick friend last night and a BA friend of mine said Z man was alright. I said look go too Teamsters online and see what his drivers think of him. He acted as though I had the wrong impression of him.

Re: IBT Launches Carhaul Jobs Campaign
Why do these union carriers come to the aid of manufacturers who keep replacing them with scab`s?

Makes me wonder if the owners of the Union outfits don't have a vested interest in the scab outfits and will profit no matter what.
