Today 3 guys who were former Leaseway/PTS drivers were flown from Newark to Tampa to pick up 3 of our trucks and got loads from Fort Myers to Baltimore and the equipment along with trucks from several other locations are being taken to Newark and remor has it that Allied has hire about 90 former PTS drivers for Newark
I guess that's great news, huh. If I read the contract correctly this work isn't covered by the pay cut is it? It's not new work and it's been handled by Teamsters. Or have they already found a way around it?
As far as I know its not to be considered new business. I did talk with a Bowling Green driver and he told me that in Newark they need to hire about 140 car haulers.
