    Default Increase drivers pay?? What???

“What does it take to make a normal person happy with being away from home two straight weeks?” Perry said. “The rule of thumb is we’ll probably have to pay these guys between $60,000 and $90,000.”

“The truck-driver population is growing at less than 1 percent a year,” said Jeff Kauffman, a Sterne Agee & Leach Inc. analyst in New York who follows truck and railroad stocks. “Freight’s growing at closer to 4 percent.”

J.B. Hunt’s spending on wages, salaries and benefits rose 12 percent last quarter from a year earlier, compared with 15 percent for the trucking unit’s weekly sales per tractor. Lowell, Arkansas-based J.B. Hunt ended 2010 with 15,223 employees, about 1,100 fewer than in 2005.

Yeah, and do you think that they would understand that, I mean the count of dracula and his bunch of administrators?

We just take a look at the BOGUS program, so far no one have seen the colors of it, and that is ashame. We will probably received another sat. message from bobh this week telling us that they haven't found yet the rite way of calculation. They should may be borrow the NASA computer to do it

Anyway if we ever received it one day , how would it be possible for us to verify if there's no mistake in it and that all the penny are there, when knowing that theses day every pay there's money missing

I can only speculate of course but I think that maybe the problem isn't the calculation but the amount of $$ on the bottom line. I don't remember off the top of my head but I think the maximum amount of bonus you could make on 2500 miles was around $40. So if you say drivers are getting closer to 2000 miles and probably getting cut on some of the bonus criteria the amount may be closer to $25. Take that amount after tax and it's maybe $18 or less. If you use my 168hr/wk - 56hrs of sleeper for a total 112hr/wk on company business then the bonus would be 16 cents per hour. Some people more and some less of course.

It's possible that Challenger is afraid the drivers have enough brains to use a calculator?

    That's the problem.

If there was honesty involved it would be a proper raise and not some bs incentive program or bonus that they can revoke on their whims.

Here's a thought, how about they start paying hourly wages for all on-duty time including pre-trips, breakdowns, loading and unloading, customs clearances, fueling etc...

Wait, Count Dancula would never agree to that as it might actually treat drivers with some respect and cost him money he could use towards another paid for puff piece in trucknews or a paid for photo op making his sorry ass look good.

I agree that everything you do for the company should be paid for. It's crazy to think that anything should be done for free.

Here's something that even vampires should be able to comprehend.

Being cheap only gets you cheap returns.
