if I could get $250 mil from my former employer, I probably wouldn't care too much about public opinion either. Hope they know which end of the dipstick to check...go get 'em Nardelli...

I believe that if we were to bail out these companies, it would send the wrong message to every other company, that has mismanaged their selves into financial doom.

Capitalism depends on the strong surviving, and the weak perishing. Being that my job directly relies on the automotive industry, I still think that changes in all three companies need to be made before any bailout. And by changes I mean the companies leadership.

If we just throw cash at them, they will squander the money, and the companies will probably still fail. Did anyone hear that the CEO's said they would suspend their pay until a turn around is complete. That is hardly a valid jesture, when you have so much cash set aside, that you don't need any more money.

What a friggin joke. I vote no on the bailout. BYE BYE GM...

Watch what happens in the next few weeks. Everyone and their brother will be getting hand outs. Everyone but the people that need assistance that is. Now more than ever, we the people are on our own.

When will the bailout line end? I'm so tired of hearing about all these companies needing bailouts.

When I went to CNN.com this morning I saw an article about a CEO in JAPAN who gave up his Golden Parachute and took a pay cut because he had to lay off some of his work force..But when I went back in to read the story CNN had pulled it. Might be one of those storys they don't want people to see because the CEO's in America would have a fit seeing as how CNN also has one of those CEO's with a big parachute..

Japan Airlines CEO

No big deal ya say. Well what if our own CEO's did the same thing ? Wouldn't that help some of our big companies ? I say its a great example and our own people could learn from this guy. My hats off to him.
