Default Roadeos-waste of time and money????

It seems to me if you really want to expertly maneuver and park a truck in tight spots, that a truck roadeo is a good place to test those skills.
I believe that whatever it took to get first place in a truck roadeo will not come into play when somebody does something stupid next to you or in front of you on a snowy/icy road.
Am I in the minority on this one................

My only problem with the rodeo is that if we are giving 10 percent of our hard earned money to help with the cost of operations of this outfit(YRC- which means all of us sister companies) and money is so tight, why would they waste the time and resources financially on this kind of CRAP when it has absolutely nothing to do with daily operations or essentials, it makes me sick. I sent am E-mail to Holland and asked this same question and I asked that they forward it to Bill Zollars with my name and employee number and I would sure like to hear back from them and I would like to hear the justification of spending this capital when they can't or won't pay our pension contributions in a timely fashion. When my oldest son was in college and my two younger boys were in Christian schools and I was footing the bill for all three, we had to cut out the fat in our budget, but I paid my bills FIRST and then we played when we had the money left to do so. The priorties of these folks seems to be *** -backwards, its play and then pay when you can.
