Interesting Scam
This E-mail was sent to me and I just wanted to share the important info with all of you. I will be watching for now on.
Check your receipts when shopping..............HEADS-UP!
Just to alert everyone. My co worker went to Milford DE Walmart last week. She had her items rung up by the cashier.. The cashier hurried her along and didn't give her a receipt. She asked the cashier for a receipt and the cashier was annoyed and gave it to her. My co worker didn't look at her receipt until later that night. The receipt showed that she asked for $20 cash back. SHE DID NOT ASK FOR CASH BACK. My co worker called Walmart who investigated but could not see the cashier pocket the money. She then called her niece who works for the bank and her niece told her this. There is a scam going on. The cashier will ask for cash back and hand it to her friend who is the next person in line. Please, Please , please check your receipts right away when using debit cards. The store has the cashier under investigation now. We can only pray that she is caught very soon.
I am adding to this. My husband and I were in WalMart North Salisbury and paying with credit card when my husband went to sign the credit card signer he just happen to notice there was a $20 cash back added. He told the cashier that he did not ask nor want cash back and she said this machine has been messing up and she canceled it. We really didn't think anything of it until we read this email. Please be aware.Last edited by Dirtball; 08-02-2009 at 02:50 PM.

Re: Interesting Scam
Good info thanks, I really hate the idea of someone doing this but stuff happens. This is what happened to us a few years ago. My husband went into spe....y for kerosene he did not have cash and in order to turn on the pump the cashier said he had to leave his credit card Our atm. Anyways the next day I went to make the house payment on line and our account was empty the kid used his cell phone and took picture of front and back bought stuff on line and in the morning he ordered stereo equipment luckily the lady that took the order asked for zip code I live in a city that has 3 so she put a hold on it. That money was recovered, he lost his job, The police watched the video's told they have 34 camera's through out gas station could not make an arrest because of the amount and I recovered everything but a real pain now we carry cash.

Re: Interesting Scam
This didn't happen to me but, I heard about people giving their credit card or debit card to the waiter in a restaraunt who takes it for you and then brings back the card and the slip for you to sign, no problem except that while they are away processing your card they copy your numbers down and either sell them or use them later on.
