I know 9/11 is to be remembered but there are so many other tragedies that have struck this nation some far greater as in numbers of people killed, some greater as in the degree the law was bent to persecute a group of people, let us not forget the soldiers who died in Vietnam who were killed or missing in action all 58,226 of them.
WikiAnswers - How many Americans died during the Viet Nam war

Let us not forget the men, women and children of Waco all 74 of them
    Waco Branch Davidian Massacre

Or how about the 168 people killed at the Oklahoma City bombing ?
Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum – Official Website

Or how about Pearl Harbor ?The Navy and Marine Corps suffered 2117 deaths. The Army lost 228, with 68 civillian casualties.
WikiAnswers - How Many people were killed and wounded at Pearl Harbor

Or how about June,6, 1944 ? 2499 Americans sacrificed thier lives on that day.

The point I am trying to make here is I hope the drum for the 9/11 victims doesn't get beaten to the point that we all turn a deaf ear towards it, because that would be a tragedy.

Great post and a great point there Snortin Nortin.. This is what makes me mad about the 9/11 deal is the Millions we paid to the victims familys of that tragedy.. I am not saying they shouldn't have gotten anything I am saying they got more than anyone else who was or has been sacrificed for this Great Country..I am a proud Viet Nam Vet and I think of my Fallen Nam Brothers everyday and sometimes I think why them and not me.The only good thing to come out of Iraq and That other S@#t hole is the fact that our country is starting to recognize us Nam vets for the service we gave for our country.
Anyway back to the original point of this thread..I am glad anytime our Country comes up with a weapon system or ship or plane or anything that cn help our Military. Now tell the politicians that if they are gonna send our troops into harms way then they need to let them do exactly what they were trained to do.kill the enemy and let god sort the bad guys out.
