I'm not at all against guns. But you guys know better than to think that the trap of guns and abortion are anything other than a way to keep us divided when little or no movement has really taken place on either issue in about forever.

I used to belong to them many years ago until I got sick of them begging for money all the time. You see, I was never as paranoid as they'd like everybody to be as they buy into the "They're gonna take all your guns away....give us your money" scare tactic.

Like I said, it's just a political lever used to get votes and money.

P.S....that was over 20 years ago when I was a member and presto!....no guns taken away yet.

No, and they're not about to outlaw guns, that's just more BS from the NRA. My problem with them is they absolutely refuse to say they are against the mentally deranged or people with felony convictions having guns. To them, it's an absolute right, even for nut-jobs. To that end, I say **** the NRA.

The very words you mention put me out of favor with them also. That being said.

I'm a gun owner, I carry my handgun concealed with a permit as I am legally allowed to do. I do not believe anyone with a felony conviction or mental illness should be legally able to carry a firearm. I believe there are a lot of responsible gun owners in this country and I believe people should be able to defend themselves and their families.

I like the fact that if a criminal tries breaking into my house he has to wonder if I am armed or not. If he takes that chance of robbing me there is a better chance of leaving him leaving in an ambulance.

Obama is not trying to take your guns away, there has been no legislation passed in his administration that would change the second amendment.
