Default Obama endorses ending one day of mail delivery

I can do without one day of mail delivery if it means saving the entire postal system. Those are union jobs! But I suppose that means pay cuts for the workers too. But, still better than no job!

"I have been saying for some time now that Congress and the administration need to come together on a plan that can save the Postal Service and protect the more than seven million jobs that rely on it," he said in a statement

Which of course can be attributed to...who? Businesses, mostly. Can't have it both ways. Sad but true.

I too would support one less day of mail if it meant postal workers keeping their jobs. Monday through Friday would be good enough, and mail needed on weekends could be sent via the overnight and second-day services the USPS has. Not the best of answers, but likely the best the postal service will be able to get.
