Default Starbucks served out of shipping containers

Pretty cool! They're insulated, of course! They have no idea what it's like working inside one of these on a cold winter's night.

Starbucks Now Served in a Cargo Container - Yahoo! Real Estate
The now-one-of-a-kind drive-thru/walk-up Starbucks coffee outlet off Interstate 5 in Tukwila, WA, which opened Dec. 13, is constructed from four modified shipping containers, including one 20-foot container and three 40-foot containers.
    Shipping containers becoming a "trend"

And while novel for Starbucks -- this is the company's first foray into a trend gathering momentum for shipping container constructions, but perhaps not the last -- other stores built from shipping containers include a grocery in Seattle and a series of restaurants in San Francisco.

Not bad at all. I recently saw an article on my computer about such homes being built in a very expensive part of CA by the beach. They were really nice looking homes!

I think it's a good idea. I have heard that there are lots of them available because it is cheaper to leave them set than to ship them empty.

You would get a good laugh out of the area I live in. It is very rural and all over the place, people have old ABF trailers sitting in there yards kind of like garages.
