The price of gasoline today is 10 percent higher than it was just two months ago. The average price for a gallon of regular is almost $3.62. Gas prices in January have been the highest ever recorded price for that month. Many economists and energy analysts believe a rise to $4 a gallon is inevitable. But their estimates could be grossly understated. Gas will reach $5 a gallon before the end of the year.

ya right? Like the payroll-tax cut? What a joke. Iran is dangerous and getting desperate. They are crazy and stupid enough to block the Strait of Hormuz. There will be missiles flying all over the Middle East sooner or later so don't worry about the price of gas. Remember, the higher the price of gas..the bigger the supply

1.It goes up because the speculators and investors want to make MORE money..
2.If we use too much,they say lets rise the prices because it will be in short supply
3.If we don't use too much as in what is presently happening,they raise the price because they aren't making enough money ..
4.If someone in the middle east shows up near one of the oil fields with a gun,they raise the price because we might go into a short supply again..see number 1
5.And the real reason it goes up.because they can raise it anytime they want..

Seriously? We don't get oil from Iran (oil embargo) so why would it affect our gas prices directly? We didn't have Iran threatening to close the straits of Hormuz last time, as the article pointed out it's just one of the reasons why oil prices would climb but I agree with crazy.
