Default Let's get a recipe thread going.

All of my recipes are Weber grille friendly, and require plenty of beer before, during and after food preparation.

Please post one or several of your favorite recipes, and we can all network and then make and eat good food.

I'll start, I had this yesterday, and the total prep time was roughly 1 hour. It would have been shorter, but you have to refer to the above:

All of my recipes are Weber grille friendly, and require plenty of beer before, during and after food preparation.
    Here goes, enjoy:

    Spicy type Ham Steak

    For the flavoring rub, take:

    2 tablespoons of chili powder
    2 teaspoons of kosher salt
    1 teaspoon of dried oregano
    1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
    1 teaspoon of brown sugar
1/2 a teaspoon of freshly ground pepper

For the actual ham steaks themselves, take:

    1 tablespoon of melted butter
    2 center-cut ham steaks, about 3/4"-1" thick

To make the rub: Combine all rub ingredients in a small bowl.

Brush melted butter on both sides of steaks; sprinkle rub on both sides of the steaks. Grill for roughly 10-12 minutes turning as needed.

I told you it was easy, I made it. It is easy and delicious too.

Now it's your turn, we all come from different backgrounds and corners of the U.S. and beyond, this should be an interesting thread by the time we are done.

Oh man, I am going to have to plan a visit to your house this summer! (we'll have to work on the type of beer though, as soon as we work that out, we can work out other details)......
I like the ham steaks recipe, I'll be trying that pretty soon.
I like hot wings. I like them grilled rather than deep fried. And I may be one sided here because I drove for these people years ago, but the sauce you want to use is Ken's steak house from massachusetts:

This is the best sauce I have ever found. I've tried a lot of store bought sauces and several local restaurant's recipes and I always come back to Ken's.

I have a friend in New Orleans that is an active member along with myself, on a boating forum. He has many times posted his own personal recipes from scratch for many cajun, creole, and plain old southern dishes. At this point I would like to quote one of his favorite messages.......

    First, you make a roux!!!

On your list there is three possibilities, Food Lion, Harriss Teeter and Scab-World. Decisions decisions.

Thanks I will get mine from Food Lion even though Local 391 tried to organize them years ago and they got new trucks in place of a Union.
