Well Monday the 17th of November I have a grievance hearing with DHL and the Union. I had ia hearing in October over a different issue and the Union and DHL seemed liked a couple of high school prom dates in the hallway. I imagine the same will happen in November if I still have the hearing. The Union knows everything that is going on IMO. You just have to see them interact with the company to realize it, The Union was kissing the Company's *** at my hearing. The Company never asked any questions while the union stopped me more than once from presenting evidence to help me. Isn't the panel my advocates as well as the BA who never represented me for crap?

If you are waiting for your BA's or leaders of your local, well you are going to be waiting a long time. Until someone within the union uses the constitution or Bill of Rights to get them to open up some files and communications with the company your toast.

Wow,
I'm sorry to hear that you had the same experience that I went through, I was absolutely soldout at my hearing to the point where my ba asked my shop steward not to show up, to the point where at the panel my ba never even asked a question in my behalf, like you say it seemed it was a done deal well beforehand, It became very evident that my representation took backseat to there comfortable association. Never felt so betrayed my only question was what was being given in return. BOL on monday

Just got a letter from the IBOT stating that they did all they could and they'll leave it up to our local's to try to do more to help! WHAT A CROCK! They didn't try anything. What happened to the old union? They've become a bunch of panty wastes! I thought that years ago TEAMSTERS weren't to be messed with, they were a force to be reconed (not sure of the spelling) with! What ever happened to those people? Now they just get involved to get their names in the news for publicity!

I as a freight hauler feel very sorry for you my brother. It is not a good feeling. I also would like to have at least one International Rep. be what the HOFFA people call a Old School type of Rep. I have been lucky to have been in the Union long enough to have met these real men that took no crap from anyone. It was a great time to be a Teamster you felt like anything could be accomplished. You went to sleep at night just knowing someone was out there watching out for your best interest. And when a BA came to your building he was not met with a smile and a handshake or any other act of kindness because he was not there to wish any good fortune for any boss. Sure there was some who stole and were less than honorable but when your in a fight for your future what do you want a do good er or someone who will kick a boat load of *** just because you asked him too. Good Luck my BROTHER I will be rooting for all of you because I promise I will be your brother always.

Your right Muler, the old BA'S were real men, but they also had many members they could rely on also. Today very few stand behind the BA's let alone would fight for themselves. I've seen members who were afraid to write up a grievance. Somehow things changed quick and the new members became soft. I can't explain it.

I can remember the old BA'S coming on the dock and the bosses would hide.
Just pulling up in their Chevy would put them on the run. No Caddies in those days. Things change.
