Exclamation DHL not informing the Teamsters of any changes

DHL is calling a press conference on Monday, Nov. 10 to discuss the day's earlier announcement. Why has DHL not informed the DHL Negotiating Committee or anyone from the Teamsters of any changes? According to the contract, DHL must notify the Negotiating Committee of any Change of Operations before they are implemented.

Could it be possible that DHL will cease domestic operations over the weekend a la Consolidated Freightways?

It wouldn't be that difficult for UPS linehaul trucks to drive to Wilmington, OH to pick up the freight on Saturday and drive to Louisville, KY for a Sunday sort. Kind of like how Indianapolis stole the Colts from Baltimore in the middle of the night.

I have heard many rumors here locally about DHL from many other sales rep's from competing companies to DHL.

I guess for the most part ,most of the DHL employees will find out on Monday when they report to work .Of course there are web sites like this one that provide alots of good info . But it's all alot of guessing . Then too so it seems DHL is just doing alot of guessing trying to figure out how to operate what was one a well run company. DHLwas known world wide as the company that IF YOU HAD TO HAVE A SHIPMENT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD DHL WAS THE CARRIER.
They've just given up in the US .

Don't think they'll be ceasing operations on Monday for two reasons:

#1 The WARN ACT

#2 Arent' 90% guaranteed that their benefits are paid with one time clock punch for the week?

Again we see that when it comes to foreigners owning companies in the US they have no loyalty. Besides what part of not being able to have their own planes in the US was going to make it a level playing field. Now If some wealthy investor from the US bought the US part of DHL and could own their planes it could get real interesting. Why was it never looked into the US part to be employee owned to skirt the plane issues. WC is right the Warren act will supply money if not given I believe 90 days notice. But these are just a few ideas but DHL TEAMSTERS will get know help from the HOFFA camp since they jump through hoops for the great and mighty UPS. Lets see were let out of central states, UPS freight not forced into central states, different pay scale, not in health care plan, Not made to be part of NMFA, All others made to be part of NMFA. ON AND ON I'M sick of all the division.
