Man, I'd rather not start a pissing contest... but since when is losing money better than making it? As in your Holland vs New Penn scenario? You are correct in the grand scheme that we are little fish in a big pond. But we just might be the only fish in the entire pond that is turning a profit.

If Holland was indeed loosing money the way you and everyone likes to potray (including YRC-Zollars) don't you think they would have closed us down by now. One of their talking heads even told us we never really made money it was hidden by a good economy. They are like several others in this country, they are trying to change history.

Re: the vote
yep the non union reddaway guys did get a 30 cent and hour raise in jan, and it has caused some problems for the company in our negotiations. Now as of last paycheck they have been informed they will loose their .30 raise at the end of the month. they are still paid 1.05 hr more than teamsters. If we were hurting as bad as they say, they would of wacked their pay long ago, but instead they dont and wont!! they still have enough money to play the union non union game.

Re: the vote
And if this one passes everyone takes an equal hit. REDDAWAY,REIMER, GLEN MOORE, AND LOGISTICS. Supposedly the previous 10% which they didn't take last time plus the new 5%.

We have been told that they the above have a white paper agreement that they will also give back 15 % Reimer as long as does not conflict with Canadian law but the only one voting seperatly will be New Penn the rest of us are a group vote. So good luck to everyone on this very difficult life altering decision

Re: the vote
philsfan, your missing my point,in my eyes makeing a profit is always better than not, and in our case we paid all of our cost, bought new equipment and still turn a profit, and mostly always have. but our profit, around 10 million @quarter, and yrcw was takeing 4% of that every quarter as management fee's ,well they don't really get much from us in a yrs' time, but if everyone else was makeing money ,they would probably leave us more to ourselfs.as far as holland,ex holland tm now at npme told me yrcw takes 1mil. a week from them, thats at least 52 mil @ yr. alot more than they get from npme, and we are profitable.holland just paying off the note that yrcw has for buying usf only theres 2 less companys in that deal around now to help out. remember we paid off our note with the roadway deal to roadway, only we did it a year earlier than scheduled.holland a 1+ billion$ company gross revenue,so that 52mil.they take is less than 5% of your total revenue, that alone shouldn't make you unprofitable, but i'm not here to argue about holland.anyhow to get some real money to satisfiy the thurst for cash, they sold at least 5 of of our terminals. they couldn't have us running around with new equipment and state of the art computers, while they suphered , we had to pay our fair share of there lossing operations. so now, they have drug us down to there level. if yrc and most likely holland doesn't survie, they will sure as hell be takeing npme down with them. there is nobody going to buy npme even if yrcw would sell us.there would be to much cost involved to get us up and running, besides the purchase price.no one would see a return on there money for many years.won't happen in america, whoever would need to see big profits now.if you want to keep your npme job,our only hope is yrcw surviveing.

At least not the union portion of Reddaway, we're in negotiations and need to vote on anything presented to us.
