As you may know, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters is going to allow a re-vote of those members who work for New Penn Motor Express on the YRCW Job Security Plan.
And this time, you naughty little boys had better get it right, or the whole offending terminal gets a timeout

YRC doesn't need NP to put them out of business. They solidified that plan years ago, and their right on schedule

Why are we fighting amongst ourselves? The vote should stand and we all have to live by it!! Zollars is an idiot and is going to do everything in his power to bring down the numbers of rank and file of the Teamsters!!! He does not CARE!!! He will run the non-union carriers in a heartbeat!! Have you forgotten about ESTES??????

To re-vote or not to re-vote.....what a joke. There should not be a re-vote in my opinion. NP employees have spoken already. Maybe it's been done in some form but I'm not aware of any Union re-voting on concessions because the employer didn't like the first vote. To me all that would do would be to make the workforce even madder and more disgusted than they already are at this point (if that's possible) and probably produce more no votes. I know that there are a lot of rumors going around but I can't see another vote happening. Stand tall NP Teamsters. For what it's worth you told the Z man to stuff it and we can all respect that.

The guy speaks for himself only. I must say I have no love in my heart for a company that just never seems to know how to run a business unless it is running it into the ground. That is not directed to my brothers at Yellow. We all know the rank and file don't run these companies. However, I have detected a certain degree of cover for this horid excuse for a trucking outfit from some of the rank and file who drive for them. I heard BZ did a bang up job at Eastman Kodak in training on how to ruin several trucking outfits later in his career.

Bill Zollars is neither a fool nor an idiot. He knows exactly what he is doing and his plans do not include the Teamsters!

Did you ever stop to think maybe this is Zollars plan to wittle out more freight members. We have members aginst members, it's like divide and conquer. Also I've not seen where the company has ask for a revote.yet. Every thing I've seen is the locals asking for one.

Duck,
Welcome to TeamstersOnline.com. I, like most everybody, have thought this out from every imaginable angle and still it doesn't always add up. The first talk of a re-vote was here...

http://teamstersonline.com/forums/ne...-a.html.....in

In post #1 it was said to have come from Overland Park. I haven't seen any Locals asking for one, but I haven't really investigated the entire thing. It makes me so sick I'm not sure I want to know more. All I was saying was that the vote happened at NP and was no and that should be that.

We do stand behind the YRC Teamsters, I would hope so any way. YRC, New Penn, whatever. We're all in this together.

I think you hit the nail on the head stldude. What do you think would happen if the vote went the other way and we requested a re-vote?

Oh hell....they'd laugh at us. I might end up being wrong but I don't think a re-vote is gonna happen.
