Default Unfair Labor Practice in the Making?

Word is that Oak has offered a $1.50 wage increase to one of the weaker Washington terminals if they decert.

And the NLRB office says "well that is an unfair labor practice, let us know if we can help".

Guess we will find out in a few days if it has enough traction so we can spend the summer chasing trucks and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the burn barrel.

So....joke harbor will pay more than union scale if the employees decertify?
But they can't afford give that raise if the employees are union?

And just how long would this bribe...er , raise last after decertification? hahahaha

They posted a memo in the non-union terminals that they are giving a dollar/hour to the shop and drivers-provided they are at top scale now. And "rest assured that when you reach top scale the money will be there for you." We are waiting for one of the scabs at a half-assed union terminal to get this money then that is an automatic ULP.

Oak has proven time and again that they will pay more to the nons then to the Union workers.

In Portland we have three line drivers that were hired when we were on strike that were rehired when we came back. All three joined the Union. They saw how screwed up managment is. I don't trust any of them though.

There is truth to the story about Oak offering the deal in the Washington terminal. And there is a good possibility that the two will give statements attesting to that. We will see.
