    Default Here Come 'd Judge...Again

The date has been set for the oral arguments in DC District Court on Jan. 19, 2017. Takes a long time to wind through the system, it was filed by Oak in Nov 2014.

    https://www.nlrb.gov/case/19-CA-031797

I am sitting here trying to remember all the details. In Portland when we struck we had 30+ line board, and as of now there is only two originals left, three if you count the resident scab. I have no idea of how many P&D are left. Been an interesting time and I don't miss it at all.

I wonder if it will get appealed again. I always said that Oak would drag this out until after an administration change. They missed by one day. One can only hope a Union friendly one wins.

May the Arrogant Brothers choke to death on their own greed.

Date has been changed to 1/23. OHFL gets ten minutes, Teamsters 10 and the NLRB 20. Two judges are Clinton appointees, Garland and Rodgers; the other, Williams, was a Reagan appointment.

The ruling from the DC District court came back today.

Basically the NLRB ruling stands. Seven days allowed for appeals. My money is that there will be a SCOUS date sometime as OHFL has way too much money to loose if they have to repay the Trust for the medical that they illegally withdrew from.

and if your so inclined to read the whole seven year history lookup case 14-1226.

Oak Harbor Freight is the Wal-Mart of trucking. It is embarrassing to work here. The small amount of teamster drivers left are done. Most will be jumping ship or withdrawing dues....no point anymore. If you work here you are owned by these fools. With no contract. Have fun looking forward to when your next raise is. To all the good drivers here....get out now. It's not worth it.

    Welcome to the board!

That about sums the place up.

I was a line driver out of Portland and there is only three left that were there before the strike. Only two of them count as one of them scabbed and that was out of a 30 man board. What is left on the P&D side and dock I have no idea.

The ones that stop paying dues are nothing but scabs but lower IMO. They want someone else to do the work to get a contract but don't want to pay the few bucks. Screw 'em. The few dollars in dues gets one representation when needed and premium health care. They just don't care, it is all about me me me. (Sorta like the picture of the person in your avatar. LOL)

The comment that you most will bail is stupid of them. Some will no doubt but the others will try to fight the Brothers and try to make it a good place to work again. Apathy won't get anyone anywhere.

You can bet in the next few days Dumbo and Goofy will post a memo that they just feel that they can offer so much more that any Union can and how rosy things will be when they have total control of everything. The Brothers said when they signed the last contract that they will never sign another one. You have to remember that these clowns will spend a dollar to save a dime. They have proven that again and again. Everyone needs to remember David is an all out totalitarian. He expects everyone to kiss his ring, including his siblings and his employees.

I can remember when proud place to work. It will never be again. It is just a job nothing else.

Your first paragraph sums everything up. Fighting with Who? And for What? We already did that for 10 years pal...really? You can go down the street for 5$ more hour with same benefits. I'm glad you got to retire. But to say were not fighting...wow. It's over buddy we lost. I know that's hard for you to understand but it's over. We either get new jobs or keep complaining about how crappy this place is....and trust me it is bad. The owners are the way they are. We won't change them. They hate the union pure and simple. Why stick around? You think the 3 Teamsters that are still here are going to turn things around!? Lol...this place sucks and it always will!

Well I see that the Arrogant Brothers are going to drag this out some more. They have filed an appeal that the Court on if the health care was "overriding importance" and erred in what other Circuits have said.

God, I don't miss that place at all. Just today wife brought up something about these bastards that threw my BP outta whack for an hour.

    I know how you feel.
The same way I felt about New Penn.

Relax and enjoy retirement. By the time Trump gets done with the working class he was supposed to help, you'll be even happier your retired.

Well Oak Harbor has been denied the their petition to rehear the case. https://apps.nlrb.gov/link/document....031d45824ceac9

But they have also filed for a 90 stay of the order. Certainly interesting to see this train wreck in the making.
