China Grants FedEx, UPS Service in Certain Cities | Fox Business
FedEx already provides service to more than 400 Chinese cities through joint ventures in the country and had sought countrywide access of its own. Shipping companies prefer to control their own distribution networks to maximize efficiency and ensure quality.

But FedEx was granted rights to serve only eight cities. UPS, which has a smaller Chinese presence, was given rights to five cities.

FedEx and UPS declined to comment on the potential size of China's domestic delivery market, although FedEx has forecast that the market would grow to $26.3 billion overall in 2020 from $5.1 billion in 2010.
