Yet not everyone is happy. Shareholder proposal number 4, filed by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters General Fund, argues that FedEx’s chairman should be an independent director rather than Smith, who has held the position since 1977 and who the Teamsters claim “exert[s] a dominant influence over the Board.”
Is this saying that the Teamsters are shareholders?

Just like I've stated elsewhere on this board.
Revenues are up, and workers are getting nothing.
I hope all those "independent contractor" delivery boys understand that the executives are sharing nothing, in exchange for them busting their "assets," after all it's their truck

Yes sister I agree with you, it's sickening, that this S.O.B Fred Smith gets it his way. They have no sympathy for the employees who help build this corporate, they use us and then they screw us employees.
And yes real-Az the IBT has shares at FedEx so that the Teamsters can attend the shareholders meeting and address the issues of concerns and why the employees of FedEx needs a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
I was able to attend a meeting 2 yrs ago in Memphis with IBT and address my voice to Fred Smith and the shareholders, but Fred only have selective hearing, he doesn't care about the employees issues.
I really think Fred has a mentor in his life, and that is J P.Morgan, the 2nd greedy human that existed on earth.
And yes there is other corporates that are shareholders at FedEx, you ever hear why the Chinese always grow in business? Because they unite with themselves and pass the bucks amongst themselves, same with the SuperPac team.
