    Default How to Organize questions

You guys might've gone over this at some point in time on this forum, but how do you begin to organize?

Just like Slave said, contact your local. The local will not seek you out. There needs to be serious interest in organizing. A couple of pissed off drivers won't get the attention of your local. Have everyone interested give them a call. Don't be afraid to stop by and introduce yourself and have those interested do the same. The ball is in your court.

Really glad to see some interest here in New Mexico!

Thanks everyone. At this point, we're talking to the other employees about it. We'll see in time if we can get people on board in large numbers. Thats the key and then the other key is to remain united - a harder feat to accomplish.

    Stay tuned.....

Good luck to you Bladerunner, the key is to work TOGETHER. Your going to have those that take the companies side no matter what you say you just have to reach out to those that understand what this all about, affordable insurance, retirement, job security and representation to name a few...

You will also see a cavalcade of high paid union busters come to give you forced meetings to "educate" you, educate yourself on these people themselves and you will find they are hired guns out for profit to the tune of $375 an hour to keep you from doing what you have a constitutional right to do, and that's form a union.

True on the Union busters coming in. I've dealt with them years ago, and I can imagine that its the same horse and pony show, just a bit more refined from a legal point. The talk is there, but its more in the shadows at this point and time. We just have to walk quietly for the moment and careful who we talk to about it. Some people would run off to management in a heartbeat.

I am sure you've had your fill on that "other" site of just how some will never leave the company's loving arms? They think that the pat on the head Freddy gives them for undermining the effort means something. They will learn their value the hard way when that shiny star is tarnished one day and have no one in their corner.
