We still have some fighting to do here in Florida to make sure the EFCA becomes reality. Even when the Federal government puts the EFCA into law, Floridians have to fight the state legislature from a state law that would trump the EFCA. There is a bill HJR1013 The Anti-worker constitutional amendment also known as the secret ballot amendment in the Florida house, legislatures are going to voting on next week. Because Florida is a right to work state this bill would make the EFCA null and void if it passes. All Floridians need to call their state representitives immediatly and tell them to vote NO on this bill.

The most important element of the of restoring the Organized Labor movement since 1935 is at our hands............. with that being EFCA. As members of Organized Labor, we need to understand the value of this movement and we need to educate even our members own about the impact of The Employee Free Choice Act for working Americans.

The American middle class structure has been under attack for many years, and with the passage of EFCA, the road to rebuilding the American middle class begins here. The roadblocks funded by big business in regards to EFCA is an insult to working Americans that wish to enjoy the American Dream. The ability to reach the goals of the American Dream, acheiving affortable health insurance, higher wages, retirement security, job security, workplace rights, workplace safety and education is a key function and basis of EFCA. The quality of life that working Americans should see as a standard are standards that big business wants to drive down and use their dollars as the tools to do this.

The power we have is the message of all Skilled Organized Labor Trades, very simply stated as UNITY. In these economic times, the roadmap to success begins with us. Why should working Americans allow big business to be successful in determinating what is best for us and our families moving forward? Big business and its monies having been a controling device for decades, and now it is time to restore the American Dream for the American middle class by the American middle class.

Why should Union members get more involved...........very simple..........our avenue to secure improvements for the American worker with the passage of EFCA will ensure us to have more strength and ability to build a better future for tomorrow. If we stand back and not be active, big business and its dollars will control our future moving forward in a way where our message will be lost or not even present. As Organized Labor, we need to strongly utilize our voices as an collective effort in regards to EFCA, or our opportunities do so such may never appear in decades. Working Americans have looked for and expressed the need for EFCA, so why should big business fund the agenda to discredit the advantages of ECFA. The tens of millions of dollars big business and others are using to dis credit and confuse Americans about EFCA should be used to better the quality of life for working Americans. Wouldn't it be a better day for the American working class to see tens of millions of dollars being used in better health care, wages and retirement? But it seems big business rather spend the monies on themselves instead building a better future or the American Dream.

As the battle in the upper Midwest as to seat Al Franken will continue as his voice for the working middle class American is needed now. Is the battle really about the votes, or has big business really been using that battle, its monies, and its clout to upset the process in regards to EFCA?

[COLOR="Purple"][B]TEAMSTERS NEED TO BE INVOLVED[COLOR="Black"]! I couldn't agree more! The EFCA is are way to level the playing field between the employees and the company. The union doesn't go after small employers. If a company only has two or three employees and they have labor problems they can't resolve that's sad. It's not top of the organing list to go after small companies, but if there's a need they won't refuse employees reaching out for help.

When I said the union doesn't go after small employers, i should have added: the union doesn't go after any employer. The employees go to the union and request a card check or (secret ballot) vote to be organized. It's the employees not the union or the company that asks for union help
