I am sorry that your familiar with the latest technology, but Walmart is violating people's rights in more ways than one.

Isn't that what a Teamster is suppose to do? Find out the facts and protest against it? Especially, when it has everything to with violating people's civil rights.

Blanche Lincoln, Former Arkansas Senator, Hired By Walmart

Walmart's move comes as the Arkansas-based corporation, the nation's largest gun retailer, met with White House officials last month. The Washington Post reported that the White House was seeking support from Walmart and other retailers for potential gun legislation.

Lincoln received some $96,600 from Walmart employees, their family members and the company's PAC during her political career, according to Influence Explorer. As a senator, she opposed the Employee Free Choice Act, which would have made it easier for workers to form unions; Walmart hired one of her former staffers to lobby against the bill.

Wal-Mart Struggles to Restock Store Shelves as U.S. Sales Slump

This has always been a problem in ABQ (not sure why with the big Walmart/Swift terminal just south of ABQ) and now we seem to be having the same problem here at my Walmart.

“We run out quickly and the new stuff doesn’t come in,” U.S. Chief Executive Officer Bill Simon said, according to the minutes of the Feb. 1 meeting. Simon said “self-inflicted wounds” were Wal-Mart’s “biggest risk” and that an executive vice president had been appointed to fix the restocking problem, according to the minutes.

For much of its history, Wal-Mart has been considered a master of logistics, persuading suppliers to set up shop near its operations. Yet in 2011, Wal-Mart hired consulting firms Acosta Inc. in the U.S. and Retail Insight in the U.K. for advice on how to keep its shelves stocked. Paul Boyle, the CEO of Retail Insight, didn’t return phone calls seeking comment. Meredith Rovine, a spokeswoman for Acosta, said representatives were unavailable for comment.

Covered California's plan to partner with Wal-Mart is criticized

California officials face mounting criticism from union leaders over plans to let retail giant Wal-Mart Stores Inc. enroll shoppers in President Obama's healthcare expansion.

The state wants employees at Wal-Mart and other retailers to help consumers learn about their options and assist them in buying federally subsidized private insurance. These plans are part of state efforts to implement the federal healthcare law and reach out to 5 million Californians eligible for new coverage starting in January.

Labor unions as well as some consumer advocates protest the idea of government officials partnering with Wal-Mart and paying for its help. They contend that the nation's largest retailer has no place advising others on health coverage when so many of its workers don't qualify for company benefits and end up in taxpayer-funded programs such as Medi-Cal.
