Teamsters locals in the Seattle area said Thursday they reached a tentative contract deal with waste-collection company Republic Services Inc.
Teamsters locals 117 and 174 said the tentative deal covers 145 garbage drivers and recycling center workers who serve about 123,000 residential and commercial customers in King and Snohomish counties.
Teamsters Local 117 also said it reached a tentative agreement covering employees at Republic's 3rd and Lander recycling plant in downtown Seattle.
Republic Services, based in Phoenix, was not immediately available for comment.
