    Default Employment Date Dilemma

This comes from Teamsters Local 25, back in the 1970's. I have received a retirement package from the local located in Boston Mass. What is required is an employment history while in the craft. I held 2 jobs within 17 1/2 years, but don't have any idea what dates those were. Is there any way of getting this information for my retirement paperwork? All of this time was spent in Local 25's Oil Division. Thanks to anyone having any ideas.

If the companies are still in business you should be able to get that info from them. The New England Teamster Pension Fund should have all that info. When you were employed your employer was required to pay a certain amount each month on your behalf towards your pension, the pension fund has all this info.

Have you tried checking with Social Security for those dates?

I agree they should have all those contribution dates. I had a similar problem with a company that went out of business in 1977. The fund administrator for Local 478 was able to dig through the old files and validate my time.
