Default Grassley on AIG execs: Quit or suicide

Sen. Charles Grassley is so angry over AIG bonuses that he says the executives should resign or kill themselves.

In a comment aired this afternoon on WMT, an Iowa radio station, Grassley (R-Iowa) said: “The first thing that would make me feel a little bit better towards them if they’d follow the Japanese model and come before the American people and take that deep bow and say I’m sorry, and then either do one of two things — resign, or go commit suicide.”
    I like this man!!

Grassley needs to think big picture. resigning just lets them off easy as does killing themselves(little weird)

jailing them for life seems like a more fit punishment. and not the cushy jail, i mean Rikers island style Jails.

Sounds like Sen. Grassley is up for re-election in 2010 and is trying to distance himself from the results of 8 years of Republican rule.

Call the loan and "let them eat cake."

Now it would be interesting since Grassley is a member of the party that supports big business in general how he feels about regulating these clowns. Anyone else notice how fast his mouthpiece backpedaled on his statement? What do you want to bet he doesn't support the EFCA? And I bet he flies coach back to Iowa too. One statement that nearly all of us agree with doesn't make him a friend of labor.

Think Grassley is mad, how about WE the people who are funding this company. In short terms this is stealing and whether or not they are an executive or CEO, they should be fired. The executives of all companies who receive OUR money should not get any bonus's, just as the same they can't touch their stock options. No bonus and no stock cash in until they repay the loan.

Not only is Grassley angry, the whole country should be as it is our tax dollars going for terrible efforts to be prepared for this falling. I think it's time for the Federal Government and everybody associated with AIG to realize that this company has too much economic control in their hands and that the Fed should let them Fall and rebuild the economy from there. The fed should also imprison all the executives that granted the bonus to all and the ones who have accepted them. Enough is Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bingo! He's trying to act like he really gives a damn about the working class now. Too little, too late.
