Default On More Stimulus Spending by Ron Paul

As a member of one of the various union allies of the Obama administration, I support the bailout.

    On More Stimulus Spending

    On More Stimulus Spending
Friday, September 17, 2010 – by Dr. Ron Paul

    Dr. Ron Paul
Faced with continuing economic decline and an impending election, the administration, predictably, is entertaining the idea of another stimulus package. To explain why the last one didn't work, adherents to the Keynesian economic philosophy are claiming that they actually did work – it just looks like they didn't because we don't realize how much worse off we would be right now without trillions of dollars of public spending. The last administration bought into Keynesianism just as much as this one does, unfortunately. Until we have leaders who understand that debt is not the way to prosperity, there will be no stopping runaway government spending. ...

...The other glaring problem with this proposed stimulus package is that it couples tax cuts with spending increases, which makes no sense when we are already heavily indebted to foreign countries. We should be cutting taxes and slashing government spending dramatically. The private sector simply cannot bear the burden of our engorged public sector. In fact, one reason earlier stimulus programs did not result in any private sector growth is because large amounts went to the public sector. Indeed, the spending that the administration is now proposing arguably constitutes a bailout of the public sector and various union allies of the administration. ...

He's right. Vote for a Tea Party Candidate.
The best thing government could do is get back to its Constitutional limitations and let the economy stabilize, heal and recover without the crushing burden of government holding it back.

Second of all, businesses are reluctant to hire and invest, not because they are looking for temporary credits, but because of future uncertainty; they simply don't know what the government is going to do next and how future government policies will affect decisions they make now. What new costs and regulations will be placed on them with healthcare reform and financial services reform? Will Congress convene a lame-duck session this winter to pass cap-and-trade and other destructive legislation? What will the cost of compliance be for hiring new employees, and will that force them to simply lay off anyone they hire now? Worse, will the government come up with fines or additional costs if businesses have to lay people off in the future? Right now, the safest thing for businesses to do is nothing. Until we regain respect for the rule of law and remove some of this uncertainty, I'm afraid none of these temporary promises, made right before an election, will do much towards any economic improvement.

Never...them wacko's hate unions and I am not into spending the rest of my life working non union...I've had enough of it and that is exactly what they will do..They hate us. And they will do the same crap all the rest did to get rid of us...pass more and more laws and legislations to make it hard on us and when it's rough on us it's rough on all workers...Everybody is not a businessman and that';s what they are all about...the minority work for themselves..this majority does not exist just for that minority to make out either...as they try to paint us as the minority all the time...more work for others than for themselves.....no way, you are being misled my friend...they want yuour vote to help themselves not you...Oh, they say they don't like gov't help for special interests...but they do when it is them....If we had a huge increase in union workers...my bet would be that we could get the debt paid off faster than if we let them take over...cause more would make more money therefore more taxes would be paid.

The Tea Party is just average Americans fed up with their Gov. Ron Paul type people.
As far as hating Unions well we're in the news every night demanding Public money to support us or it's the teachers union not Educating our kids while doing nothing. Gee why are we losing a favorable view.
(costs taxpayers $250,000 just to fire one incompetent teacher..process can take six to 18 months)
I'm an American first and thats the way I'm going to vote. I'm going to vote out socialist Big Gov Types. If the Union is on the wrong side so be it.

The point you miss,, is that when we are not there doing what you accuse us of doing.....big and little business and the bankers are....who do you trust more us, or them? You're not gonna get around the gov payback thing...media is big business and they will even jab us but won't always jab 'business' so much cause that is what they are, so ya won't here that Fred Smith just made a deal for Postal work or he just got another legislative/government favor/ deal for Fedex for this or that...you're just not gonna hear it...burt of course you'll hear it when it's about us...we are a cost to all business..and they don't want us around and media is business....we,the unions are america too. Not just the businessmen.

Big business has done it's share also...It has been alot of giving and giving and giving them everything over union wishes such as trade poliices and anti-union policies which i believe have done a whole lot of damage leading up to this....perhaps if they pushed more union favoring policies long ago...Fanny and Freddy would not have been necessary because people would have actually been able to afford the houses.....at normal credit practices.
