Default 'Occupy' to hold national conference in Philly

I have to give these people credit. This wasn't just a passing phase, they are sticking with this!

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A group of protesters affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement plans to elect 876 "delegates" from around the country and hold a national "general assembly" in Philadelphia over the Fourth of July as part of ongoing protests over corporate excess and economic inequality.

Why is it the people who don't just sit around and complain but actually do something to make changes are the nut jobs? I guess I am a nut job being a pro union activist because I want to be a part of making a change for workers and I am also an activist for homeschool rights. Yep, I'm a nut job

I don't know, Are you traveling to another state? Are you going to setup a tent and live there for a few weeks? I guess you have no other responsibilities, no rent or mortgage to pay. No worries about food.
Someone is supplying all these things. Who?

The occupy movement is about equality. Not Socialism or Communism. There are those that would like you to believe otherwise. They are the same sources that would like nothing better than to bust the Unions in America and drive the working class into the ground.

Ya, your right Strap, all those people who marched for civil rights in the 60's all the women who marched for equal rights in the 20's or was it before that? And all the people who marched for UNION representation are all a bunch of nut jobs.

Thing is people like you do nothing and than ripe the rewards of what they accomplish. It's IOM that people like you would never had supported the revolution for they are just a bunch of nut jobs starting trouble, they would have been called terrorist today wouldn't they?

For the past 35 years there has been an attempt at equality. It was an expensive failure. Some people are very successful (the rich..the educated) Most were not (the poor) Unions have helped some people to live middle class. There will always be 'the haves and have nots'. No one in the US goes to bed hungry if they have sense enough to get aid that is available to them. The poor has Medicaid, title 19. There is lifetime Obama unemployment and food stamps.

I don't get it bean. On one hand you are always being negative about people who receive aid and then on the other hand you are saying no one will go hungry in America if they have the sense to get the aid available to them! Have you not read any of the threads I or anyone else have posted on here about how the income gap is growing and growing? That does not make for a healthy economy in the least. And that is what Occupy is all about!

I did read them..did you not read my reply? I say again. We will always have the 'haves and the have nots in capitalist system. The so called rich (successful people) should not be targeted to pay more tax for the not so successful people or the occupiers who feel they are entitled to something
    occupiers in Philly and elsewhere

You will also have those that will never "get it." They post away securing their place as a mindless drone from the extreme right wing. Never having any Union substance or adding to the Union cause. They are the takers. The MEesters. The I got mine now screw the rest crowd. They use the system to their advantage then condemn it in the next sentence. Character built on false promises and underlying intent. I recognize this character trait in some. I scorn their very existance. They would sell themselves and their brothers out for a dollar. Worst of all they will condemn and belittle those that stand up for what they believe is right in the face of tremendous adversity. Forgetting they have done the very same to achieve a little equality by walking the line. Nothing more than card carrying scabs if you ask me.
