Default Sandy Victims: "Suck it Up"

Earlier this week, AFP, which is chaired by Koch and believed to be:Pfinanced:Pby several other plutocrats from the New York City region, released a letter warning members of Congress not to vote for the proposed federal aid package for victims of the storm that swept New Jersey, New York City and much of the surrounding area in October. An announcement on the group’s website says that the vote:Pnext week:Pfor the Sandy aid package will be a “key vote”—meaning senators who support sending money for reconstruction could face an avalanche of attack ads in their next election.

Koch’s top deputy in New Jersey, a:Psurly gentleman:Pnamed Steve Lonegan, who heads the local AFP state chapter, called the aid package a “disgrace.” “This is not a federal government responsibility,” Lonegan told reporters. “We need to:Psuck it up:Pand be responsible for taking care of ourselves.”

Would you expect anything less from the "Queens of all Welfare Queens"? These scumbags spend $60 million of their own money just to defeat Pres Obama (FAIL)... and they want to stop that same Democratic President from signing legislation to fund $60 million to aid Sandy victims in the tri state area, paid for by American citizens, for American citizens. Funny how they were quiet, when Republican Pres Bush did sign a Bill to aid Katrina victims in the RED states of Louisiana and Mississippi.

BTW... I am a Sandy victim. But I am more fortunate than the thousands of people that fared worse than me, or the 22 people that died within 7 miles from my home. Through good planning, I was able to stave off serious flooding in my house. Neighbors on all sides of me lost some things, others lost everything in their basements. My boats however, took some serious, but not unrepairable, damage. Dozens of lifelong, neighborhood friends, lost everything! Cars as close as 20 yards from my house, were totaled! Even my new tenant, lost her apartment of the last 12 years because of the storm. 2 of my best friends (plus their families), and myself, donated a vanload of clothing, sweaters, suits, shoes, blankets, food, stuffed toys, games, and books to victims hard hit in Breezy Point and Coney Island. Even now, we still find some stuff to drop off at a local church in Coney Island. This is what CARING human beings do.

The Kochs don't want to see Federal Aid, because there wouldn't be enough money available to rebuild the communities. Yet they have enough money to swoop in, in an unparallelled Land Grab, of humungous proportions...... in an area of prime, although vulnerable Real Estate.

Because they are still attempting to make Obama out as the bad guy.
They still haven't figured out that they lost the election.

I noticed a neighbor had a "Americans for AFP" poster in his front yard for months leading up to the election. That sign stayed up after he took down all the other "losing" signs for every republican running. However, last week even the AFP sign came down.
Maybe even he realized something like the fact that the Koch brothers really only care about their money and the power they could wield if they buy the right candidate.

The bill in question is $60 million in aid to victims of the devastating North Eastern hurricane, many of whom are still homeless.
I thought it was more like 60 BILLION

    Will Koch’s threat work?
Absolutely These politicians know where there money comes from..Does anyone remember the Transportation bill that Fed-Ex bought by threatening to cancel their order with Boeing if it had passed with the legislation in it that would have put the Fed-Ex workers in the same class as the UPS workers???Big business owns a lot of these politicians and there isn't a whole lot we can do about it..
