Default China And Brazil Ditch US Dollar

So Long, Yankees! China And Brazil Ditch US Dollar In Trade Deal Before BRICS Summit

China and Brazil agreed to trade in each other’s currencies just hours ahead of the BRICS summit in South Africa.

By shifting some trade away from the U.S. dollar, the world’s primary reserve currency, the two countries aim to buffer their commercial ties against another financial crisis like the one that resulted from the collapse of the U.S. housing market bubble in 2008.

Watch Out, World Bank: Here Comes the BRICS Bank

The bank would use $50 billion of seed capital shared equally between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa but would undoubtedly be dominated by China. It would be the first institution of the informal forum started in 2009 amid the economic meltdown to chart a new and more equitable world economic order.

Thanks, World Reserve Currency, But No Thanks: Australia And China To Enable Direct Currency Convertibility

Thanks, World Reserve Currency, But No Thanks: Australia And China To Enable Direct Currency Convertibility | Zero Hedge

Why is this so very critical? For the simple reason that the free lunch the US has enjoyed ever since the advent of the US dollar as world reserve currency, may be coming to an end as other, more aggressive alternatives - both fiat, and hard-asset based - to the USD appear. And since there is no such thing as a free lunch, all the deferred pain the US Treasury Department has been able to offset thanks to its global currency monopoly status will come crashing down the second the world starts getting doubts about the true nature of just who the real reserve currency will be in the future.

    Yeah all is good.

ADP, other disappointing data raise specter of spring U.S. slowdown
The ADP jobs report for March is the fifth economic indicator in the past week to disappoint investors with a lower-than-expected reading. Is it a sign the U.S. economy is going to slow down in the spring and early summer for the third year in a row?

U.S. sees highest poverty spike since the 1960s, leaving 50 million Americans poor
Such success stories are in danger as billions in federal government spending cuts begin squeezing services for the poor nationwide.

OK ... lay out what you, as an educated and informed person, is the answer to our "perceived" social and economic problems.
You post many articles from the standard sources that always highlight the impending gloom and doom.
So what is the answer ?
