Christie’s campaign has $3.4 million on hand, even after a massive $1.2 million ad buy across the state last week.
According to the campaign, 85 percent of the donations came from within New Jersey and 75 percent were donations of $100 or less.

State Sen. Barbara Buono, Christie’s Democratic opponent, has struggled to raise the kind of money it could take to compete with Christie this fall. She’s taken in $738,000 as of April 30, and has received $1.02 million in matching funds from the state. At her current fundraising rate, Buono won’t bring in enough money to qualify for the maximum matching funds in the primary.
