Question Why did the IBT wait?

I wanted them to endorse Edwards. Do you think they waited to see who would be the one most likely to win the nomination, and endorse them?

Reason: They have limited funds and did not want to waste them on a candidate that did not even win the nomination.

    Just wondering about this....

They threw their early support behind a guy who didnt make the cut last year - anybody remember Gebhardt?

That's exactly the reason, nobody wants to endorse a loser.

Notice they didn't make an endorsement till last week, when it's almost mathematically impossible for Billary to win???

I meant last election cycle - not year.

No. Not necessarily me. But it will many others. Those will be the same ones manning the phone backs and door knocking when the real GOTV effort kicks in. I cant see myself voting GOP ever, so Hoffa endorsing the sure thing in the Dem race jus goes hand in hand with my own agenda. Now, if he had endorsed Edwards early on we might have a way different dynamic in this race. Is it me or does it seem that there are more people disappointed Edwards didnt get the endorsement than there are people who are excited that Obama got the endorsement?

I thought it was somewhat predictable who the Teamsters were going to endorse. They always endorse a democrat and Hillary Clinton used to be on the Board of Directors for Wal-Mart (1986-1992). So I pretty much figured it would be Obama. You can see the videos all 3 candidates (Obama, Clinton, Edwards) made to the Teamsters on YouTube.com (user: TeamsterPower).

I did too. I wasn't into it enough this year to know why Edwards fizzled out, and never really got ahead anyway.

There would have been no white water investigation or Monica investigation if he would have been a honest man. I applaud Mr Starr. The investigation went no were because of the power and money the Clinton's had. So much was covered up.
