From 2006. Some good and bad.
    Strong ties to Clintons.
Ties to Hoffa and Buchanan( personally I like that plus the economic nationalism which the writer didn't like)
    Warmonger with Israel.
    Disuaded opponents of Clinton.

The problem there is companies willing to reduce profits for the sake of the middle class. It's unlikely to happen since they've shown they have -zero- loyalty to anything but the bottom line.

Mind you, I'm not disagreeing, but let's be realistic. Nice to think about, though.

I too look forward to a Sanders candidacy. I just hope he can truly do well going up against Clinton. At the least I hope he pulls the issues further to the left than they'd normally be.

Bernie is not even on the odds makers books.

Not saying this means anything because the election ( and nominations ) are a long way off.
So many interested, yet so few that should.
I still am surprised every time I see Christie's name even associated with a Presidential run. What do people think when he couldn't do a thing for New Jersey except cause more problems and raise our taxes.

And interesting that Elizabeth Warren is listed when she insists she is not running.

Key Things to Know About Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont

Key things to know about independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is expected to enter the 2016 Democratic presidential campaign on Thursday, according to people familiar with his decision:
    THE BRIEF

A self-described "democratic socialist" who says he likes Scandinavian-style government, Sanders was credited as mayor of Burlington in the 1980s with leading an urban rebirth in Vermont's largest city, then went on to serve eight terms in the U.S. House. He is in his second term in the U.S. Senate.

    ___

    RESUME REVIEW

Sanders was active in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee while at the University of Chicago in the early 1960s. He joined the March on Washington, which featured the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech, in 1963. He later joined the influx of counterculture, back-to-the-land migrants to Vermont and held various jobs, including carpenter and filmmaker. He was an early member of the Vermont-based Liberty Union Party, but had more success running for office as an independent. Drawing on support from University of Vermont students and others, Sanders upset the longtime incumbent mayor of Burlington by 10 votes in 1981 and served the rest of the decade in that post. He won election to Vermont's lone congressional seat in 1990 and to the Senate in 2006. He has continued with the independent label, but he caucuses with Democrats and serves as ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee.

Iowa activists welcome Bernie Sanders to race
On one recent Iowa visit, Bernie Sanders showed he’s the kind of presidential contender who’s perfectly comfortable speaking at a podium that’s actually an overturned milk crate on a tabletop.

Sanders, a no-frills man of the people, will be welcome in the presidential race because he’s so sincere about his ideas for making working-class Americans’ lives better, some Iowa Democratic activists said Thursday. It’s possible the Vermont second-term U.S. senator can become a real contender here — and peel away votes from frontrunner Hillary Clinton — if he can explain himself to enough voters, they said.

Instead of dwelling on “Canadian birth certificates and pants suits,” Sanders gets to the heart of problems that bog down the national economy, said Ken Sagar, president of the Iowa AFL-CIO.

I keep reading articles about how he can't possibly win against Hillary. I don't know about you but I really get tired of the media speaking for me.

Bernie Sanders raises $1.5m and gains 100,000 supporters in a day
One day after raising $1.5m in donations, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders was out to convince supporters in the early voting state of New Hampshire on Saturday he could raise the $40m to $50m needed to run a competitive presidential primary campaign against the Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton.

“The question to me is not whether we can raise as much money as our opponents – we can – the question is whether we can raise enough money to run a strong, credible and winning campaign,” Sanders said. “And based on this first day I believe that we can.”
Sanders could fill a void to Clinton’s left that has some Democrats clamoring for Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren to get into the race. Warren has said she has no plans to run.
