I know ... I know. It's all lies and the people surrounding the President are the best.
It sure seems like they all have personal issues to me. Abuse, hitting, burning cigarettes into a persons hand, etc. These woman must not be truthful ... all of them. Because we certainly know Trump wouldn't say they are fine people, if they weren't, would he ?
The White House, still reeling from criticism on how it handled domestic abuse allegations against ex-staff secretary Rob Porter, has a new headache. Per the Washington Post, David Sorensen, a speechwriter reporting to senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, stepped down from his role Friday after his ex-wife, Jessica Corbett, to whom he was married for two-and-a-half years, detailed to the Post what she says was a physically and emotionally violent marriage. Among her allegations: that Sorensen put out a cigarette on her hand, ran over her foot with his car, and, in an incident that she says made her fear for her life, "grabbed her menacingly by her hair" while on their boat off the coast of Maine.
Trump’s administration has lost at least 37 in just over a year.
There hasn’t been a recent administration that’s seen so much turnover particularly among members of the senior White House staff. (Nor, it’s safe to say, have there been so many appointees who were fired after past racist comments were made public.)
President Trump’s administration has seen more turnover than “The Apprentice.”
Great choices in personnel from a great businessman ...

Trump better not piss off Walmart.

“It boggles the mind how that would play out,” said Kathy Fisher, policy director at Philadelphia’s Coalition Against Hunger. “We know SNAP works now, when people can choose what they need. How they would distribute foods to people with specialized diets, or [to people in] rural areas … It’s very expensive and very complicated.”

The proposal is also likely to enrage food retailers — particularly Walmart, Target and Aldi — that stand to lose billions if food stamp benefits are cut, analysts say. On Monday, the Food Marketing Institute, a trade association for grocery stores, condemned the Harvest Box proposal as expensive, inefficient and unlikely to generate any long-term government savings.

Not happy about what I read.
Replacing those SNAP benefits with a predetermined box of food doesn't seem economical to me.
The "self stable" milk is usually three times the cost ( or more ) then buying regular milk.
The cereal is expensive choice, and canned fruit is also expensive.

Our local produce stands will lose out. The buses from community centers brings those people direct to the farm to purchase good, fresh vegetables and fruit, direct from the farmer.

This proposed budget cuts so many items, like EPA funding, Army Corp of engineers, Labor and State departments, Medicare and Medicaid, yet spends more on the military.
We already spend more on our defense then the next 7 countries combined that have a large military defense budget.
More ? But less for the citizens, less for the hungry, sick and poor.

Again, it's only the proposed budget, but I don't like what I read.

I beleive this goes directly to the core.. Abuse of the system and sadly the ones that need it will be the ones affected.. But how many times have you seen someone in the grocery store pay for items that you cannot afford with food stamps then stop at the lottery machine on the way out..

I'am all for stopping welfare abuse but not by hurting the innocent needy people who really depend on SNAP for their survival............ crazy I've never seen that happen but that's not to say it doesn't. Kind of like the person leaving the food bank or soup kitchen in a new luxury car...................As for the lottery can you really blame them? "a dollar and a dream"

I have seen many times where food stamps {debit card} were used to pay for ribeye steaks and other expensive cuts of meat.. best is when you have an educated checker and they won't allow it.. But with today's supermarkets the smart full time checkers are slowly going by the wayside and most stores are staffed with part timers who for the most part don't have a clue..

As for the last three posts, I am sure all those things happen.
The same as the wealthy elite and politicians all use every available resource to get a "free ride" on our dime.
Something like EPA administrator Pruitt flying first class instead of taking the train.
Or former Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price, who spent more than $1 million on chartered and military flights.
And Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke is under fire for his excessive travel costs.
Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin has made a habit of taking military planes at government expense.

For the above wasted money by Trump's cabinet members, the government could feed 713 seniors through the Meals on Wheels program for an entire year. It could fund public school for 157 students. It could provide 1.4 million meals to families that need nutritional assistance. Or it could provide Medicaid to 366 people.

But let's cut resources for the citizens, the poor, those that need a hand up ... because we all know the swamp critters need to travel like the pompous elite.
