You gotta love those republican lawmakers. Obamacare is so bad for us but they want to cherry pick the best parts but only for themselves.

The new Republican amendment, introduced Tuesday night, would allow states to waive out of Obamacare’s ban on pre-existing conditions. This means that insurers could once again, under certain circumstances, charge sick people higher premiums than healthy people.

Republican legislators liked this policy well enough to offer it in a new amendment. They do not, however, seem to like it enough to have it apply to themselves and their staff. A spokesperson for Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) who authored this amendment confirmed this was the case: members of Congress and their staff would get the guarantee of keeping this Obamacare regulations.

What about draining the swamp? What about fairness in government? If the repeal is good enough for the average Joe then why isn't it good enough for congress and their aides? i was hoping that Trump would bring fairness to the middle class. It's business as usual. Do as we say and not as we do.

What about the Trump plan to change the 401K retirement tax deduction ? Take away what little incentive many working class people have, and most don't have pension plans either.
President Donald Trump was elected in part because of his championing of income tax reform, with promises of a simplified structure of tax rates for individuals and lower tax rates on corporations. Yet at no time during the campaign did the president signal that the way his administration would pay for those moves would involve taking away one of the most popular and widely used tax breaks in the income tax system. Now, though, lawmakers are reportedly looking at removing the upfront tax deduction for traditional 401(k) contributions, and some proposals have even suggested taking away part of the tax deferral that 401(k) plans provide.
So how are they going to achieve a "revenue neutral" tax structure with he proposed corporate tax being lowered to 15% ?
Easy, take more from the working class.

One big problem involved in corporate tax reform is that it would be costly. Cutting tax rates from 35% to 15% would result in a drop in revenue, and many lawmakers want to ensure that any tax reform legislation is revenue-neutral. To achieve that, Congress would have to couple tax cuts with ways of raising revenue.
Worried about buying aspirin with your HSA or FSA card ? Nope ... I still spend 10K a year out of pocket for medical. That hasn't changed for many years now.
However, I fully expect to pay much more in taxes and other government imposed rules, regulations and fees as we all watch the swamp fill up and spill over to accommodate the wealthy corporate interests.
