Default Trump to cut factory rules

Some say that Trump can't get anything done because of the the democrats and the media's fake news. They why is it that he doesn't have a problem moving forward with the republican business agenda? It's ok for workers to inhale cancer causing dust so what's next? Maybe they will take asbestos or even agent orange dioxins off the hazardous workplace list. While 3M, Monsanto, and the Koch Bros etc make billions Social Security Disability, Medicaid and Medicare can go broke treating all those poisoned workers. That would include us P&D drivers.

Also drawing complaints from construction groups and iron foundries is an incoming Occupational Safety and Health Administration rule reducing by 80 percent the amount of crystalline silica dust that can be inhaled.

The dust, common on construction sites, can cause lung cancer, according to OSHA, but industry groups say reducing it to those levels will be prohibitively expensive.

"To meet these much lower levels, new engineering controls and other measures will become necessary within the roofing industry," said the National Roofing Contractors Association.

Trump has already taken steps to roll back some not fully completed Obama-era environmental regulations such as restrictions on coal-fired power plants and a clean water rule greatly restricting runoff into small streams.

Wouldn't want to stifle a businesses ability to make more money because of safety, or the environment.

This is exactly what I have been saying for months on this site. Because I do most of the posting, I get to see weekly everything the Trump administration is doing or should I say "undoing"!!!! Anything that is good for workers, good for the environment, good for Americans in general is being destroyed and personally I am mad as hell about it.

Although I don't post as many news articles as you do I do indeed read many.. There is always two ways to look at this.. If he "is" cutting regulations that will hurt workers than he is wrong period.. But what regulations are they?? Has anyone seen the regulation that he cut that "will" hurt workers?? In the article that 2631 posted there was a reference that many of these regulations were more like double regulations..

3M Co said other permitting requirements under the Clean Air Act contained "overlapping rules, redundant requirements, conflicts between rules and undue complexity."
And just because it is coming from a corporation does not mean it is false.. Time will tell..

He is changing the Obama laws on contract workers, he is decimating the environmental laws, now the silica laws, just to name a few. I have lost track of everything I have shared on this sight that he is reversing. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what is going on.

strapdrager, have you ever worked in P&D? This is not a trick question I'm just curious. Having worked myself in P&D for 41 years I've seen some really bad factory and sweatshop working conditions. I've seen cancer clusters cause by legal hazardous waste discharge/dumping. I'm sorry about the added costs we consumers pay for increased EPA & OSHA rules that protect our environment and workers safety. Do you really want to go backwards in the name of corporations bringing jobs back to America? IMO the only way those jobs come back is if we lower our wages to those of the 3rd world countries.
