Default Re: Texas advances ban on dues check off for public workers

Abbott, who in his State of the State address in January said that “taxpayer money shouldn’t be used to support the collection of union dues,” listed the issue on his 20-item agenda for the state legislature’s 30-day special summer session. On July 25, the state Senate passed Senate Bill 7, which would outlaw dues checkoff for public workers except police officers, firefighters, and emergency first responders.
What a maroon...what's next, do not shop Safeways, Albertsons or any unionized stores with tax payers money.
    Only shop at Walmart!
For crying out loud, if the members want to pay Dues with their fair earned wages, so be it.
Unless the public employees are being paid in a debit card where the City doesn't want to garnish their dues and summit to the union.
