Default AFL-CIO President Trumka steps down from Trump manufacturing council

We cannot sit on a council for a President who tolerates bigotry and domestic terrorism. President Trump's remarks today repudiate his forced remarks yesterday about the KKK and neo-Nazis. We must resign on behalf of America's working people, who reject all notions of legitimacy of these bigoted groups.

It's clear that President Trump's Manufacturing Council was never an effective means for delivering real policy that lifts working families and his remarks today were the last straw. We joined this council with the intent to be a voice for working people and real hope that it would result in positive economic policy, but it has become yet another broken promise on the President's record. From hollow councils to bad policy and embracing bigotry, the actions of this administration have are consistently failed working people.

The hate exists on both sides....and I think what Trump did was fair.
He just knocked his unions people's chances to participate right to the ground......for what?????
Democrat and Racist Zionist politics with communist globalist leanings........I'm starting to see why we have lost our power, money numbers, and pensions.
This has nothing to do with us.
We have all types from BOTH sides within our memberships....and him and Hoffa just gave up chances for ALL of us for one sides stance.....Not a good move imo.
Lucky for us.....Trump totally disbanded the whole economic team or whatever it was.....to save all those involved from backlashes from their people.....because all involved have people on BOTH sides.

Just as a reminder of what happens when we trust the Dems and worry about their issues rather than our own...imo this is not a labor issue...but a Dem issue.
We get burnt doing their bidding for their issues........we should stick to our own...and have them take care of it.

Right to Work Founder Was a Klan Fan

Before anybody starts on my post, I have something out of my past family that is difficult to share but I feel is needed. I had a step grandpa, the only grandpa I knew on my dad's side of the family that was a former klansman. He came from Indiana. That side of my family were the most prejudice people I had ever seen. I grew up around such hate. I guess somehow not hearing it from my mom's side of the family kept me from thinking that way. Or maybe it just takes a certain kind of heart to feel that way about other people and I definitely do not have that kind of heart. I know I have a certain very anti union family member that likes to spy on my posts here on the site. Spy all you want as you know I am absolutely right about this. Growing up around that hate was smothering to me.

The statement, written by North Dakota AFL-CIO President/Secretary-Treasurer Waylon Hedegaard, pointed out that "one of the Nazis’ first acts in Germany was to crush the labor unions. Knowing that organized labor was a real threat to Nazi control, the fascist government spent two years outlawing unions, jailing leaders who stood up for workers and setting up a state-run system of worker control. Using ruthless violence, intimidation and murder, the Nazis destroyed everything unions had fought for."

The Ku Klux Klan hates unions, too, because in a union everybody is equal.

Trumka added: "It’s clear that President Trump’s manufacturing council was never an effective means for delivering real policy that lifts working families, and his remarks [last Tuesday] were the last straw. We joined this council with the intent to be a voice for working people and real hope that it would result in positive economic policy, but it has become yet another broken promise on the president’s record. From hollow councils to bad policy and embracing bigotry, the actions of this administration have consistently failed working people."
"The drive for such laws was fueled by Texas businessperson and white supremacist Vance Muse, who despised the doctrine of human equality represented by unions," wrote Roger Bybee in The Progressive.

Muse, a Klan fan, was "the Karl Rove-meets-David Duke brains behind the whole right to work movement," wrote Mark Ames.

Interesting article but to have the leader of the AFL/CIO drop out because of someone that DIED in 1950 is a piss poor excuse.. IMO it is more about pressure from the radical left.. But that is only my opinion.. How about Senator Byrd from West Virginia?? He was a KKK Member.. Oh but the left want to forget about that.. Time to live in the present..

It seems that both sides of our government have also set up things thru the state which used to be handled by unions.....and this race issue...and Obamacare.....and it was even mentioned mandatory pension savings accounts like mandatory Obamacare accounts.........all that stuff makes probably the same thing that the Nazi's did.........they take anything we are good for and take it and give it to the whole country....until we have no power....How many times have we heard" We don't need unions. We now have laws" Their time has come and gone".......meaning that government replaced us........and that is why we should stay out of these issues for political grandstanding..................all we need to do is say..."WE DON"T HAVE ANY RACE PROBLEMS IN OUR UNION SHOPS.......everybody is equal........................and let thewm know that it is not like that out there everywhere.....and that's how to sell ourselves....instead of giving our healthcare options....and pension options....and wage and minimum wage options to these lazy scum who just have the government give it all......and then we just lose members,,,,and never gain members..

Our policies don't need to be something we sell for shysters to benefit from whilst we keep losing.

Keep sticking it to the anti-union side......maybe they think we're commies....maybe they think we're not religious or atheist or Satanists or socialists.
    Maybe they think we're lazy.

Wrong........we should stand sovereign from government....the commies used the unions in Russia....just as bad as if not worse than hitler used unions.
But Obama used us....Reagan used us....Bill Clinton and his wife used us........sanders was using us.............................
we don't need any of them half as much as they need us.

And we shouldn't put all of our eggs in the democrat basket.

From all the crazy and informative places I go on the web......I find that unions are one of the strongest and best forces in naqtions to make huge positive change for families.........the Popes have been encouraging us since 1897........the unions were used to build fascism and communism......but they were also used by the Church to destroy communism in Europe.......It was the unions who started it...In Poland......and when Poland fell.......they all fell....

The unions pick up the middle class and poor thu labor....that's why maybe we should aoid soapboxing for socialism.....because socialism is theft....it is the forced taking of my money and giving it to somebody who may not earn it......it is taking one's property and forcefully taking it thru taxation and giving it to others...........that soft stuff does not strengthen us or those who receive it.....too many able bodied people receive it.....

Substituting government for Church and unions has not been healthy.........churches should give the charity.....then it is given freely with the right sentiment.......and unions should stand up for workers in their worklplaces.....and not go to government to give to those who do not put the effort in.....let them take the minimum wage.........we don't need to worry about that....if people hurt enough they will DO SOMETHING to change it.....wwe shouldn't always be interceding with government and having them soften things....people don't come to us since we do that.

Capitalism and unions are a force for good under Catholicism and Christianity.........................Communism and AntiChrist philosophy is a force for bad.....it is the treating of people like livestock...animals.....

What is too live for under communism?

And socialisms extreme left goal seems to be communism.

I'm not a fan of Israel at all......correct on that.
When we have a nation which is $20 trillion in debt...corporations have all say and unions, none.......and we know damned well that there is really only one nation in the world who benefits from all the wars in the middle east since 1991.....all that money spent and all those people dead.......
Israel and their dual cirtizens involved in our entertainment, education, and government and economics and corporations..............these parts of their system all shout for immigration and against nationalism and are all for diversity.....but when it comes to the true place on earth they serve.......their is no diversity....there is no democracy.....their is no immigration or rule by anybody but Jews................yet they are everywhere saying nobody else is allowed to do what Israel does.

That tells me they are not somebody I would friend or rely on...I am not a Jew...I care not for Israel.................matter of fact I think their would be great peace...if Israel did not exist.

Pensions are failing and how much news and time is spent focusing on Israel?
We shouldn't even be thinking about them at all....we have plenty of our own problems.
