Default opinions on new proposal Reddaway / YRC

I've been with reddaway for 14 years as a line haul driver.
my attitude towards a new contract extension is acceptable if there is language that if the company is making a true recovery we will regain some of our concessions we have already granted.
I am willing to vote yes for an extension of this contract under the current mou if there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am unwilling to vote for more concessions.

was wondering if other teamsters thinking rationally about this
have the same view or somewhat of the same attitude as I do?
    In solidarity.

It doesn't matter anymore. The bosses are stuck. Welsh is suronded by yes men and is out of touch with everything. Our leadership cant do anything because yrcw keeps saying we need this its a bad circle. My advice is to start puting in apps and figure out what your doing next

Maybe if they didn't pass out BONUSES and Attempt to buy ABF we MAY have believed them but know they want more they want your dignity.

An extension with no additional give backs would have passed, IMO. Now they have dug their grave and nobody will believe a word they say. Remember, what we were told was, this is it. There is no other offer. If they come back with one they only look even more like a bunch of idiots than they already do and the employees will only think that they said there was nothing before so let's keep saying no until they get it right. This thing is dead and we all should be looking elsewhere. The management will spin this off as the fault of us and the union but I will sleep at night knowing that I didn't get or take anything I didn't deserve. Only management took what they were not owed and certainly didn't deserve.

Yes, I would vote yes on the current MOU with just adding 5 years to it.

I sat in on a meeting that T.J O'Conner had with the boys and heard him personally say that YRC is broke and doesn't have the money to pay Feb Installment and doors would be closed, now we find out they do have the money to last 6-9 months, business as usual Welch said, less we forget all the new job postings looking for drivers, mechanics and more, chicken little you can't keep telling us the sky is falling,we don't believe you anymore!.

They have over 200 million so as long as they don't hand out BONUSES they should have $$ for 1 and 2nd payment!!

I took this advice years ago
The death of YRC is inevitable
Now my pension rate is twice what it used to be, and about 7 times what those scummy "equal sacrifice" bonus whores took from us about 5 years ago.
This is the end, my Teamster friends. But since the majority thinks 25% of something, is better than nothing, you're making it an incredibly painful long time. Some wise old soul once said, "at least they shot old yeller."
