Things are being done about all those priests. I think it's about time things get done on this too. The whole Democrat platform pretty much makes their candidates favor abortion publicly and in votes with long-lasting consequences for the whole nation.
This one's been let go for far too long. I wonder if Beto, AOC and Pelosi will get the same deal......probably not all of them......just like we'd all like justice all done with the priests.....should we not want justice for all these politicians who vote and publicly support something totally against like this. Maybe when only things are done right will it begin to straighten out throughout the whole thing. I've read something from Steve Bannon stating that the Catholic Church in America may be pretty much bankrupted in near 10 years from the lawsuits. America can celebrate then. Then we will see how great all of the others run the morals in the nation. I don't look forward to it.. It will be just like politics....if this nation even allows churches after that. We have a nation where everyone is boss. And there is a poll from Georgetown U...a civility poll stating that we are politically and civily two-thirds of the way towards civil war in our attitudes. I think failures within the Church has played a huge role...failure of stopping their own abuses and failure of teaching the world right from wrong with everybody else...by allowing politicians to publicly vote the way they do yet still claiming to be Catholic......Socialism is also directly written against...yet they let it go.

Placing this in the Union thread as well....

      Biden canvassers join Teamsters union

WASHINGTON, Nov. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Field organizers for Vice President Joe Biden's national presidential campaign joined Teamsters Local Union 238 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa this week, becoming the latest group of political workers to gain union representation with the Teamsters.

Teamsters Local 238 has been at the forefront of organizing political workers during the presidential race, representing campaign workers with Sens. Booker and Klobuchar, and the staff who work for the Iowa Democratic Party.

"Political campaign workers deserve a voice on the job as much as anyone," said Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa. "These workers, who face the prospect of long, pressure-filled hours on the campaign trail, need a strong partner like the Teamsters Union that will fight for their rights."

Approximately 120 national field organizers for the Biden campaign chose Teamsters Local Union 238 through card check recognition yesterday.

"We are proud to represent political workers during this presidential race and applaud the Biden campaign for supporting its workers' right to organize," said Jesse Case, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local Union 238.

Frank Sheeran & Joe Biden: What The Irishman Said About Him

Joe Biden’s surprise upset that first put him in the U.S. Senate in 1972 had a boost from a union-organized strike designed, in part, to stop his Republican opponent’s campaign ad insert from reaching voters, according to the book chronicling the life and confessions of Frank Sheeran, the union boss with Mafia ties who is the subject of the new Netflix Mafia movie, The Irishman. Sheeran said he helped organize a picket line effort to stop newspaper delivery after a prominent Democratic lawyer he didn’t name asked him to do so to help Biden win.

Newspaper archives document the strike and its effect on Wilmington papers. A December 29, 1972 article in the Hanover, Pennsylvania Evening Sun reported that a “strike by News-Journal Co. drivers halted publication of the Morning News and Evening Journal for a couple days prior to the election.” The strike ended in “the latter part of November,” the article reported. Biden won the election by a little more than 3,000 votes.

A 1972 newspaper article in the Wilmington Morning News on the strike described how “carrier boys and girls continued to report harassment in their efforts to deliver papers.”

The reports about Good Ol' Joe saying that coal miners need to learn coding tells me this guy is way past his prime.

Does he think that you spend nine weeks in a Community Collage then poof you somehow are in demand?

Quite frankly it offends me, these people are your basic hard workers trying to make a living in a hole in the ground with more danger than Biden ever faced. Seriously, does this person have a clue what happens in a mine if is below ground or a strip mine? This isn't the 1920's anymore. Does he think that all of them load "16 Tons?"

I am sure some could go on to be programmers, and hopefully could build an operating system with no bugs, some could become a politician and be a damn site better than 90% of them.

Our profession of driving a truck isn't exactly brain tasking. I drove with a guy that was an electrical engineer but didn't like it and his uncle owned a few trucks. A good friend was a seventh grade teacher for a couple of years but hated the job. Then some have a hard time adding 2+2. (I at least made it to adding 2+6.) Are all currant drivers suppose to become MD's? We could use a few more.

Joe, your a nice guy and I'd like to sit and have a few beers with you, but your ship has sailed.

Well........there's always the universal income deal.....but that ain't gonna work......or we just sit here and allow business to dictate how we would want our economy be....Joe and Obama and Hilary and probably Warren and Mayor Pete..could keep us on that path...
Or they could get off their high horses and listen to the people and maybe delay all the automation and high tech stuff and universal income nonsense....watch other nations self destruct being guinea pigs for that....
and adjust the economy to allow us to do what working class and poor do best....let us work.... The experiments don't look good...the unions always stood against the free trade nonsense ....and they did not listen.....now look at us.....can you please do all of our work for cheap China and Mexico....so we can have everlasting stagnant wages.

Don't think Biden will ever get the nomination...But IMO the DNC is trying.. But it seems Sleepy Joe might have some other explaining to do. Maybe it is true or maybe it's fake. Time will tell..

.IRRO: OK, Rudy, you heard Nadler. He is a long-time New York Congressman.

              GIULIANI: Yes, yes.

PIRRO: You know him well from your New York days.

              GIULIANI: Yes, a long-time hack.

PIRRO: He claims you wanted Ukraine to announce the investigation.

GIULIANI: Yes, basic long-time New York hack.

PIRRO: Talk to me, and he says it personally benefited you.

GIULIANI: Yes, I wanted them to investigate. Yes, I wanted them to investigate it because it would help to exculpate my client. It had nothing to do with dig up dirt on Biden.

It was handed to me in November of 2018. The Biden family pulled somewhere between $8 million and $20 million out of Ukraine, totally corruptly. Biden was involved in two massive bribes. Zlochevsky bribed him. He bribed Poroshenko. He disgraced the United States of America. And Nadler should be ashamed for covering up for him.

He also did the same thing, by the way, Biden did in Iraq where he was point man and his brother got a piece of it, $1.5 billion housing project. And he did the same thing in China when he was point man. And the kid got a $1.5 billion investment from China in a hedge fund for himself, Kerry’s kid and Whitey Bulger’s nephew

What the hell is wrong with this union? Well, at least they didn't endorse Trump!

Iron Workers Union Endorses Biden for President
Washington – On Wednesday, the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers endorsed Joe Biden for president. The endorsement was based on key issues that matter to the union members and reflects their values.

Biden is the only presidential candidate who has passed an infrastructure bill in Congress and administered an infrastructure stimulus in the White House. He took the lead on releasing the first infrastructure plan among Democratic candidates, offering the best value for the building trades. The Iron Workers union believes that a Biden administration would invest heavily in transportation infrastructure and manufacturing across the country.

“Vice President Biden has proven again and again that he is a friend to union ironworkers,” said the Iron Workers General President Eric Dean. “We need a president who will defend rights and jobs of American workers, and Joe Biden will be that president.”

Joe Biden will push legislation to repeal Right to Work laws across the country. He will defend time-tested Registered Apprenticeship Programs, stand up to special interests, and work to save the hard-earned benefits that union members deserve. The Trump administration’s continued threats to impose Industry Recognized Apprenticeship Programs on the construction industry makes this move particularly urgent.

Seems that "union man" Joe takes contributions I consider dubious. So do many other democratic candidates. The fact that any of them are taking contributions from law firms that do anti-labor, or union busting work is unacceptable to me and will affect my final decision.

ATTORNEYS FROM UNION-BUSTING LAW FIRMS ARE THROWING SUPPORT BEHIND JOE BIDEN
While the list of unions endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders for president has been growing longer, with the 200,000-member American Postal Workers Union announcing its support this week, former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign has been accepting campaign contributions from attorneys at law firms with anti-worker histories. Their support includes maximum donations from partners at Jackson Lewis, one of the most notorious union-busting firms in the country. At least five of Biden’s bundlers, individuals who have raised at least $25,000 for the campaign, are connected to union-busting firms, including one who hosted a high-dollar fundraiser.
A preliminary analysis by the Center for Economic and Policy Research found that attorneys at law firms with anti-worker histories are largely throwing their financial support behind Biden. Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar have also received some support from partners at anti-union firms, but both have received far less from these law firms than Biden, indicating that the firms see Biden as the candidate most in line with their interests.
Ironically, the former vice president declared himself a “union man” at his first campaign rally, held by the International Association of Fire Fighters. The Biden campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
Buttigieg, meanwhile, has more than 20 donors from Barnes and Thornburg, a firm that has declared it a goal to “engage clients in union avoidance activities prior to an actual campaign.” Four of the donors are partners at the national firm and have maxed out.
Andrew Luger, a partner at the anti-worker law firm Jones Day, has raised at least $25,000 for Klobuchar’s campaign, according to her list of bundlers. (Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren don’t have bundlers or private high-dollar fundraisers, so they don’t have similar lists to release.)
Neither Buttigieg nor Klobuchar has received any labor union endorsements yet.

Highly doubt that Biden will make the cut. The DNC is changing the rules to make way for Mike Bloomburg. Once again I believe they will steel the nomination from Sanders. And the best goes on..

This is something NEW?...your just realizing this NOW?...are you telling me this is some all of a sudden REVELATION?...I've been talking for months about Corporate Democrats and all of their bought and paid for Corruption!!!!!!!

Joe Biden is Hillary in drag...he can't fill a high school gymnasium and the more he talks the less voters like him...Biden and the countless other bought and paid for corporate hacks are in the race for one purpose,to force the primary to a second round of voting where super delegates will overthrow the popular will of the people(sanders)and pick the nominee, just like in 2016,inevitably one approved by corporate America and special interests who OWN the Democratic party...It has nothing to do with electability...If it did,the Democrats would have spent the past 3 years acknowledging the mistakes of the previous decades and performing a legitimate autopsy as to WHY they lost to a political novice and GAME SHOW HOST...

Instead, they have chosen to focus on red herrings, first Russia-gate,then Racism and Identity Politics, and now Ukraine-gate to explain the dismal perception voters have of them and their uninspiring nonsense...Corporate Dems 2020 campaign slogan!!!!...''Make America Polite Again''...No policy changes whatsoever, just someone who will do the exact same nasty chit as Trump without offending sensibilities...No,this has nothing to do with beating Trump and EVERYTHING to do with the Corporate Democrat Elites at the helm of the party holding on to POWER even if it means losing a second time to President Trump...

Corporate Joe Biden is a man of the people, but ONLY if those people are MULTIMILLIONAIRES,CORPORATE EXECUTIVES,UNION BUSTING LAWYERS,and CORPORATE MEDIA!!!!
