You have to be in la la land to say a trade deficit is the reason for the $20 trillion debt. There is no such thing as a funded war or a funded anything. The government has no money other then what it prints. Bill Clinton and Bush added $12T of debt combined. Obama promised to cut the deficit in half in his first term or resign. Instead he added $7T for a total of 19T and the narcissistic sociopath was re-elected. The economy is financed by debt. Thank Wall Street for the financing and if you have a problem with the profit they make pay cash

The country imports cheap stuff, good for the consumers who don't care if the real cost is American jobs. The reason RTW states are expanding>US and foreign manufacturing upstarts. Live with it

Beanie!! CONNECT the dots.. What do you think a trade deficit do??? Jobs are lost equals less money going into "OUR" economy.. Now the government still has to run so taxes go up and other essentials go up and then you have more people out of work and less money going into the economy.. Are you following this yet??? Then take the 10 plus million illegals that not only take jobs but send their money back to the countries they came for.. More US dollars gone.. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out but even a fifth grader can.. Where do you stand??
Check AMAZON,they might have a new "dot" connecting pencil for sale.. You surely can use one..

You never mention the big buck export trade side of the equation that employs an estimated 12 million people that ships American made products around the globe that cannot be produced there. The ill-eagles are putting back in the economy whether they're working or not. Medicaid, medicare and Obamacare subsidies are big buck additions to the deficit not to mention Social Security, more going out then coming in similar to the CSPF situation.

You want it Amazon has it. I'm waiting for a new knee I ordered on Amazon Prime. They had the size I needed and the hinges, tools etc are included. I want to run the Dublin marathon one moe time

By 2015, the trade imbalance ballooned to $365.7 billion in China’s favor
That's $365.7 Billion that leaves our economy and leaves us with no economic activity.

For the Thanks of boosting their economy, they are creating an Army to defeat us, all with the US Dollar you sent them.

American consumers have a huge appetite for cheap imports. Sad most of the imports are American products being shipped back as imports that count as an expense as far as the deficit is concerned. Money well spent. Donald is so full a crapola it is ridiculous He better get Mexico to pay for the wall because Congress won't.

Money well spent? Spoken like a Union busting, anti American worker, scab. FREE TRADE IS A LOSER except for the very few at the tippy top. Our wages are stagnant. Our deficit is so lop sided it will never be balanced under these terms. US corporations were given free rein with language in NAFTA. A tax code that is outdated, favors the practice of off shoring. Tax dollars lost on every transaction. Only a Walmart chocolate lover could endorse such business practices.

I hope this time you are able to connect your dots correctly.. If you don't understand this then go to Walmart and get some more of that cheap chocolate..
He will never see it brother. His head is so far up the corporate ass that he has suffocated. He marches to the tune of the corporate drum. Like a metronome, the cadence, the belief. Dead from the neck up and too blind to see. Our nation has been sold out along with our workers. He got his and screw the rest.

Spoken like an union loon ignoramus who has no idea what he is talking about. johnny, you're the loser not free trade. The trade deficit will get worse. If no trade prevails there will be 1929 style depression. Obama is cutting trade deals with China and Argentina as we speak. High corporate taxes is why there are millions of dollars off shoring.

Wages are stagnant because of Obama's economic policies. The country is in a nose dive. Raising the minimum wage and blaming stagnant wages on free trade is the result of 7 years of Obama-economics. Wise up scab. Donald Trump is a stooge like you are

Count the years our economy has been declining. It didn't start on Obama's term. 20 plus years and counting since NAFTA. How would you know when your only source of information is from union busting rags? FREE TRADE is killing America and corporate minions like yourself follow along. Our Union says it sucks. Every Union says it sucks. You praise it to the heavens. What is wrong with that picture? You lie about the Union proud of this site and their position on jobs? Try again bean. You are a proven liar from what we post.

    http://trade.gov/neinext/role-of-exp...us-economy.pdf

U.S. exports totaled a record of nearly $2.3 trillion in 2013, which is a 44 percent increase in the dollar value of exports from the most recent low point in 2009. Adjusted for inflation, exports increased by 27 percent over this time period.
 Jobs supported by total exports were 11.3 million in 2013, an increase of 1.6 million since 2009.
 Nearly 30 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) growth over the last five years has been the result of export growth. This is particularly impressive given that exports of late have accounted for nearly 14 percent of GDP.
 The largest export markets for the U.S. – Mexico, Canada and China – contributed the most to export growth since 2009 though, as shown in figure 3, many other countries also contributed significantly to our export growth
    loon, get over it
