Alabama trucking company abruptly shuts down
An Alabama-based trucking company suddenly announced that they are going out of business, leaving their drivers without a job.
On Wednesday, May 1, Dothan-Alabama based trucking company Williams Trucking LLC sent out a surprise memo letting its workers know that they were shutting down for good. The memo instructs the company’s drivers to return their trucks and trailers to the company terminal.
One of the company’s drivers told WDHN that they had no warning that the company would be shutting down for good.
Williams Trucking has been in operation since 1994 and employs just under 50 truck drivers.
