    Re: Coronavirus

Yes, I think positive everyday. And I'm positive Trump sabotaged America's response to any pandemic. I think those that have articulated that same feeling have a better insight on the whole thing then the common man on the street.
    I'll go with their observations.

Cool...You certainly are entitled to your opinion. Basically I don't trust the government anyway. And I am positive Trump is doing all he can to prevent it. He was criticized from the left When He shut down Travel from China but the way things are today he would have been criticized if he hadn't. Some on the left don't seem to like Trump.. That's something I believe we agree on.

Here's a quote from one of our members here that evidently suffers from TDS.

. There’s a Quarantine Tent city here in March Airbase Riverside Ca...my opinion this Administration of Trump is Trying to spread this disease here in America !

A true pandemic no one can be ready or control it. At best just delay it. The Coronavirus may just fade out.
Now if a virus took place in South America as this one might and fear kicked in and a hundred thousand started heading this way you think you can stop the virus at the border. Would that be a huge concern. All heading into sanctuary cities infecting homeless camps.
        We are doomed

Some on the left would welcome them. Open borders. Or is it just because of Trump .. No matter what Trump does he is always wrong. Better stock your freezer.

Well apparently we have to blame Trump for being unprepared.
Talk about the southern border is a serious thought on containment isn't it?

Infectious diseases a rising threat among migrants at southern border

                  by Anna Giaritelli
                  | May 23, 2019 09:24 AM

“They’re one major incident away from a catastrophe — someone comes in with an active case of tuberculosis or something worse than that,” said Ronald Vitiello, who during the Trump administration served as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and deputy commissioner of Customs and Border Protection. Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious diseases specialist at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, cited respiratory infections, diarrheal infections, and bacterial infections as some of the health concerns medical staff working on the border would have to constantly be on the look-out for.

US Customs and Border Protection agents in South Texas are reportedly being given respirator face masks to deal with Chinese immigrants crossing illegally into the US through Mexico.
The agents, stationed in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley sector, on Tuesday said they’ve encountered 91 immigrants from China since start of 2020, according to Center for Immigration Studies fellow and counter-terrorism expert Todd Bensman.

Yes, this is an older article, but it makes you wonder about all those other positions left vacant, or those filled by inexperienced people in this administration.

Old Bloomburg must have read the same thing you did. Used it last night in the debate. Mostly false on his claims .

. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg claimed at the Democrat debate in Charleston, South Carolina, on Tuesday night that President Donald Trump had “fired” the government’s pandemic expert and “defunded” the Centers for Disease Control:

One of the great problems today, you read about the virus, what’s really happening here is the president fired the pandemic specialist in this country two years ago, so there’e nobody here to figure out what the hell we should be doing. [Applause] And he’s defunded Centers for Disease Control, CDC so we don’t have the organization we need.

In reality, the pandemic expert — Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer — left the National Security Council (NSC) voluntarily after then-National Security Advisor John Bolton was appointed.

Bolton disbanded the unit that Ziemer was supervising as part of an effort to downsize the bloated NSC staff. The purpose of the unit, which had overseen the global fight against Ebola, had largely been fulfilled.

Even the government web site for the CDC has confirmed more cases then reported above.

All it takes is one unknown carrier. On TV yesterday they were talking about a woman that tested positive for the virus but to date has no symptoms. I believe she was on the cruise ship in Japan and was still under quarantine. How many others could be out there without knowing they are carrying the virus. Ones that are not in quarantine.
